Too Good To Be True? New Nintendo DS on eBay?

From China = 99% knockoff. Not made/commissioned by Nintendo, not old stock.

The mystery behind it is most likely this: Someone found/bought the molds & schematics that were originally used to manufacture the DS, so they fired up a few batches at a factory or two in China.

It will most likely be a very functional and perfectly playable DS. (only noticeable with side-by-side comparison)

Screens may scratch easier and will be slightly lower quality. (or pre-scratched)

plastic shell will be slightly lower quality of feel/material

cardboard packaging will be slightly off, less vibrant, & lower quality.

3rd shift & bootlegs have gotten much better over the years. They used to be a sad, disappointing joke to now being almost indistinguishable to the unsuspecting consumer.

If you want one, try it: the weakest part of it will be the battery.

EDIT: $60 is way too high to charge for a China-new, should be $29.99.  Better off getting a used/refurb for

I still feel the DS is a much stronger and more comfortable system than the 3DS.
