Thanks for posting, I pretty much decided not to run around for that Talim.

I did however get Sophie from a cheap CE through AWD recently, so I'm content with that.

With GCU this is REALLY tempting honestly. Comes at a tough time because I enjoy fighting games but I'm not the biggest fan of them and I already plan to get MK11 on Switch however I have enjoyed SC in the past. Ugh do I just add another game to my backlog? ...... yup because I'm a CAG

This is probably the most beginner-friendly installment in the series. If you're interested in playing with other people, you'll want to bump this to the top of your backlog since the community online is steadily shrinking, and the franchise is in decline - this game caused infighting within the company that made it because many developers didn't want it to be made, so who knows how long it will be until the next installment.

They've said that the game sold to expectations, but the series has been dormant for years, and the preorder items for this game are still available, so the sales can't be that impressive. The game peaked at #6 on the bestsellers chart in the UK.

I'll hold out for a complete edition.
There's not going to be a complete edition. This is Namco, not Warner Bros./Netherealm Studios. Outside of the Dark Souls trilogy and Tales of Vesperia remaster, the company really doesn't do GOTY editions.

The Naruto series has been getting complete editions for years. Either no complete edition comes out and I scoop this up at this same price further down the road, or my patience pays off and I get everything on one disc - I'm cool with either result.

I'm expecting this to be one of those $10 $12 or $15 games soon enough.

Has Namco ever released a complete edition of Soul Calibur before?
No, but they've never had enough DLC associated with the previous games to warrant it. With a rumored second "season" of DLC characters on the way for this game, it's certainly a good candidate for it this time around.

I always prefer definitive/complete editions as well. The on-disc roster seems super skimpy this go-around compared to past versions.

Meh. I'll hold out too for a more complete version. If it never comes, this version will be $20 MSRP soon anyways.

I'm kind of torn. I want it but I wonder if they will release a complete edition at some point with all the DLC and characters.

Pretty unlikely that there will be a complete edition. By the time the games are "complete," most of the players have moved on. By the time Tekken 7 ends too (season 2 just wrapped not long ago), a new Tekken will probably be announced. Anyone that's not Capcom don't usually release "complete" editions of fighting games.

They have never released a complete edition. Not just for Soul Calibur but for any game released by that publisher so I wouldn't count on it. If they did that would be a first.

I will wait for the collectors edition to go down in price
I have it in the cart, hesitant to get it. After GCU it's $71 not bad at all, but I didn't realize it doesn't have the season pass. Plus i don't think this is gonna sell out and could go on clearance for 50 or 60 bucks in the future.

That figurine looks terrible.  No wonder they only show a tiny thumbnail on the Best Buy page.

Not gonna lie though, if it was Taki or Ivy figurine, I would have probably got it even at that low quality

Not a bad price, but I'm really only interested in playing a few rounds with Geralt and 2B. Can't pull the trigger for that buy-in, thanks though OP!

There is no such thing as a "complete" edition for fighting games for years, even from western studios like NetherRealm. If you look closely, MKXL is still missing small amount of contents and Injustice 2 Legendary as well, so they are fairly complete but not quite. For Japanese, you can forget that term. Even the latest version of the old USF4 on PS4 is still missing couple sets of costume packs.

How is the Sophitia statue, does anyone have it?
I just got my CE in. Ordered from Amazon Warehouse deals. The CE on :ps4: is part of the 20% off promo going right now so I got it for ~$40 plus tax. My CE was complete and in good condition. Box was opened but game was sealed. They seem to be out of stock right now if anyone's looking for one I would check this link occasionally:
https://smile.amazon.com/gp/offer-listing/B07DL2NQD5/ref=olp_f_primeEligible?ie=UTF8&f_usedAcceptable=true&f_usedGood=true&f_used=true&f_usedLikeNew=true&f_usedVeryGood=true&f_primeEligible=true

The statue is better quality than I was expecting. Will probably sell mine though since I don't collect these and the skirt.. features.. seem to be the main appeal to this one.

Played this to single player completion recently. It was fun time and $20 is a great price for it. Left the DLC alone but I hope Hwang becomes a character!

If anyone with GCU wants to help me out for the easy points, I'm looking to get two with a GC.
