Lol, oh Wombat...never change.

We have a human trafficking crisis in our state and in this city and in our country because people are willing to purchase women, young women, and treat them like commodities. There is a market for it. Why is there? Because our culture has completely lost its way. The sexual revolution has led to exploitation of women on a scale that we would never have imagined, never have imagined,
Get real. I'm for contraception & women working. I’m against exploitation of women promoted for decades by Hollywood & culture. Have to change that to stop trafficking.
Yeah, Josh Hawley sounds like a grade A asshole. The guy is a DICK. He wants to fight human trafficking and save the lives of women, but he has biblical morals and votes red so screw that nazi!

I know it's really really hard to step outside of the nyc "anyone right of far left is a nazi" bubble but maybe just maybe look at the facts instead of regurgitating shareblue.com.

Both of those quotes are horrifying. The sexual revolution & Hollywood culture are neither symptoms or causes of human trafficking. If you believe this gross and dangerous misrepresentation of women's issues please, please, please find a new podcast to listen to.

I love how you completely glossed over the fact that he is trying to lessen human trafficking by pointing out the fact that you don't agree with his assessment of the effect the sexual revolution has played on hollywood and western US culture overall.

Also, he never said Hollywood culture is a symptom or cause of human trafficking, but if you don't think modern day Hollywood has problems with exploiting women on and off screen you seriously need to check your biases.

One thing last point and then I am done discussing this with you because it's pretty pointless lol. Pornography drastically increased during the sexual revolution. It's also a fact that human trafficking is linked to porn. Just throwing that out there...

I am glad he is anti-human trafficking, I am going to go out on a limb and say everyone in the Senate and Congress is Anti-human trafficking. But he is throwing an anti-feminist slant to a real problem in order to further his gross agenda. So yeah, that guy is a dick.

Like Wombat's greyhound rescue Tai should get a hairless sphinx cat. That way Cheapy Cat can also be bald.

E3 Monday, organize the first CAG 5K now that Cheapy runs. A race for pasty game devs, journalists, and fans.

I, for one, was beyond disappointed by the Game of Thrones ending when
the Mother of Dragons opened her briefcase and it turned out she was carrying around the guns of everyone we'd presumed were her allies the whole time.

I met ProJared at a ScrewAttack event before. It's a shame hearing that stuff about him. I don't have any juicy gossip about that day.

Cheapy, are there no areas with homeless camps in New York? Homelessness is something that goes beyond Downtown LA. I'm not an expert on the subject, but I know Orange County has had similar areas to Skid Row.

Wombat, why not visit your local municipally run animal shelter and adopt there?   Process would take maybe an hour.

More reasonable that dealing with private rescue nutballs or shipping dogs across the damn planet.

Your show is always fun to listen to.  I don't care if you talk about just games or if you have seen every game.  I listen to a few gaming podcast, many of which are more detailed on games and such, but this is the first one I want to listen to each week.  Keep up the good work and do what you do.

Wombat and Cheapy really are the most petty podcasters I listen to.
Though I'm sure they will just say they are making "jokes" about being dismissive cause the audience can never be right :)

good show

Buying 65 in 4K tvs, importing European breed greyhounds from Spain and casually paying for $40 birthday lunches...I don't know what's gotten into our friendly neighborhood Wombat but I like it!

One minute he's complaining about full price $60 games, the next he's basking in the lap of luxury lol. Thanks for another great podcast guys.

I'm outside Nyc and yeah, Hawley's a turd I like how the right is so far gone that you have to champion being against trafficking.

There is something really funny about Wombat sarcastically praising of Meow Motors, mere seconds after Cheapy finishes legitimately waxing poetic about a game called Munch Mobile.

And then goes on to sarcastically praise Va11 Hall-a, a 3 year old game with 10,000 reviews on Steam. Out of everything, he picked an actual widely-known game with a large fanbase to mock.

Great show fellas.

I recently signed up for Marvel Unlimited.  I am currently reading The Ultimates from the early 2000s.  What do you suggest I read next?

In L.A., we have a unique problem, because the weather is always nice. A lot of kids leave home early, thinking that they can live in their car or on the streets, and on some level, they're right. In New York, the cold weather hits eventually, and the people that have an alternative to homelessness will cave in and take it, and if the have no alternative, they're more likely to seek help from charities, churches, hospitals, etc. Sometimes, being threatened by the elements is the kick in the butt you need to accept help.

In CA, it's a lifestyle choice for some (certainly not all). We even have migrant homeless that take the bus in from Portland during the winter and save up bus fair to take it back in the spring. We also have weak policies in place to deal with the homeless. I have a homeless camp near my house, and in order to deal with it, LBPD, LAPD, CalTrans and LAMetro Police all have to agree to go together, then they speak with a representative (yes, there is a mayor of Hobotown), then they ask each homeless person individually "do you need help?" If they say "no", there is nothing that can be done. They just get to keep hanging out until someone reports them for doing something illegal. If any of them have a mental health issue that is keeping them on the streets, they're still allowed to not seek help.

NYC had a PR nightmare because of their homeless problem in the 80s, and they have worked really hard to reel it in since then. California just doesn't know what to do.

SHOW FEEDBACK:

Good show, as usual. Can't wait to hear more about Dogbat (Womdog?).

Gotta say, as a new father and watcher-of-budgets, I really appreciate hearing Wombat's more frugal approach to gaming these past few years. It's nice to know that there are others out there who a wringing every last bit of enjoyment out of a game before moving on to the next thing. I had been feeling a little insecure about the fact that it was taking me months to beat a game while everyone else seemed to be playing something new every week, but Wombat manages to keep things interesting, even if his "whatchu been playin" segment is always "I played more Assassins Creed".

Keep up the great work.
