You guys missed 100% of the new announcements for Mario Maker 2. Slopes and 3D World styles were already announced.
New features shown off include, online and offline multiplayer, both co-op and competitive.
A story mode with 100+ new levels designed by Nintendo.

Vertical scrolling sub stages.
You can set specific clear goals for levels, such as players need to be Super Mario to finish a level, or players need to collect a certain amount of coins.
Night versions (hard mode) of each background are new. This adds effects like altered gravity, low light, poison, wind, slippery surfaces, etc to a level.

And of course several new editing options and objects, like the on/off switches returning from the Gameboy Mario Bros. Deluxe game.
AND A GOSH DARN KART!!

Wombat’s opinion must be tainted with free codes. Rage 2 is not very good. The controls are sluggish, the characters are boring and the open world is pretty dead. They would have had something if it had co-op. I got it from Redbox because of the mixed reviews.

As always I respect you opinions and the show is great.

I did a google image search for “Rage Videogame” and the screen shots that came up immediately reminded me of Borderlands. Actually, because of Wombat, I’ve been replaying Borderlands 2 and have been loving it. I have to admit that for some reason, Claptrap reminds me a little bit of our friendly neighborhood Wombat. Friendly, enthusiastic, looking for a good time, and constantly being shot down by his pals... (I’d come to your birthday party Wombat!)

Also, some friends of mine have been working on gigantic statues of characters from the upcoming Borderlands 3. I’ve gotten to see them in person and they are just amazing. You can see some of the build progress on their Instagram page: @thingergy - the statues made an appearance at the Borderlands launch event and I’m guessing will be around at upcoming conventions and things.

Thanks again for all the years of podcasting. You guys are still my longest lasting and favorite show!

Wombat really needs to dig up a picture  college wombat, holding a black duffel bag full of steroids in one hand and two Natural light cans in the other hand.

Also, I had some thoughts about why a game like Ghost Recon might be a little more fun than Days Gone. Ubisoft lately has games that come off as approachable and "video gamey" but underneath have very polished mechanics. I think Days gone got the first half right, but not the second half. Hopefully they can nail it in a sequel!

So Wombat, the dog you're getting is from Spain and called Ultima? You do realize that translates to "last", right? So I guess they're sending you the racedog that lost the most. No wonder they don't want it anymore!

Cheapy, please give my thanks to Mrs Cheapy for her recommendation of 'A Plague Tale: Innocence' on twitter.  I doubt I would have picked it up based on your discussion in the last episode, but after reading her tweet I gave it a shot.  It might be one of the best games I've played in a long time, and one of the only games that has ever managed to capture my wifes interest.

Great show as always, thanks for the weekly entertainment!

I couldn't help notice Cheapy isn't on Cameo or Fiverr offering to wear a metal mixing bowl and record voicemail messages in his spot-on RoboCop voice.  Seize the day!  And my several dollars!
