4 TB Western Digital External Hard Drive $55 via Amazon Free Shipping

OOS for now - but you can still lock the price in by ordering now, which I've done. That's about half the price of most 4TB drives in stores.

Why is it not letting me change to free shipping? Edit: nevermind; it showed a shipping charge and subtracted it.

Definitely a good price, but there's an awful lot of reviews complaining about the reliability of this particular drive, and Western Digital drives in general.

Good price, although I prefer models that don't have hardware encryption.  If anything with the enclosure goes bad like the encryption circuit board (which happens with these) then the hard drive is a brick.  Just an extra point of failure, but I guess it's not a big deal if you're just storing downloaded games for your console.

I was wondering why it was out of stock when I checked this afternoon; and I’d just looked last night when it was still $95. Frigging frig, they’re not even letting you buy it anymore.

Ordered two 4TB and two 10TB. Previous cheapest prices for these were $80 and $160, respectively. The 4TB already shipped, while the 10TB will take about two weeks (assuming Amazon doesn't cancel).

This deal should be moved to graveyard.

Would've been nice to know about the 10TB...
I get all my gaming deals at CAG, but I watch SD for everything else. They had a bunch of these hdd deals posted early yesterday morning. On top of the 4TB and 10TB, there was also a 2x8TB raid for $170 (msrp $600), 2x4TB NAS raid for $180 (msrp $480), and a 2TB portable with wifi for $59 (msrp $160).

Canceled. I guess twenty bones is a decent consolation prize.

But now I really wish someone had mentioned that 10TB deal sooner. I didn't know about it until it was mentioned here, long after the fact.

And I got two separate emails for my two cancelled orders, so I guess I can expect $40 in credit? I'll take it.
Incorrect.

To help make up for the inconvenience, we've applied a $20.00 (one gift card per customer) Amazon.com Gift Card to your account. This amount will be applied to your next eligible order automatically without entering a claim code.

I got the same email for 5 separate orders (3 10TB, 1 16TB) but you will only get one $20 credit per account. The only way to get more is if you ordered on 2 or more different accounts.

Correct on my incorrectness. Only $20. Still nice, lol.

I was gonna post it when it first hit but didn't want to get attacked for posting a non game deal
