When Ethan isn’t on the screen, everyone talks about Ethan. The entire movie is a Cruise ego trip. No other character matters. Ving Rhames and Simon Pegg are completely irrelevant at this point. There is no way he would support someone horning in on that action.

Great show guys. I just wanted to point out that Jeremy Renner was brought on to be the younger guy to possibly take over the franchise a couple movies ago. That obviously didn't work out as planned, they even tried to do the same thing with him on the Jason Bourne movies.
