Must've been a timed exclusive. Bendy was exclusive for only 6 months.

It was not timed, shockingly. It was also supposed to be a single small print run, but preorders almost ate through the entire print run, so Gamestop convinced Square to print more, or they helped pay for more. I was an employee at the time of release. It sold well and Gamestop made a big deal that they struck a deal with Square to get it physical.

Mine was just delivered.  It's legit, doesn't appear to be bilingual or anything if it is a Canadian version.  Great deal, thanks OP!

Gamercandy is legit. I bought a $40 musterbrand Zelda backpack for $9 on their walmart storefront last year and it was the real deal.

That may have more to do with your mailman playing basketball with your package more than who shipped it.

Got mine, game smells great.

Mine was also loose, and I'm pretty sure we have different mailmen. I would've bought the Switch collection had I seen it before buying this...

Up to 16.99 base price now, and the code no longer seems to work

I didn't know that. I still have my copy sealed...I'll get to it one of these days.

Yeah, I remember when it was announced they were very quiet on a physical release and internal Gamestop messaging basically made it seem like they pushed Square to print some physically, and they heavily suggested interested people to preorder because it was going to be a very small, one time print run. To the point they said about a week before launch that dont expect any to many extras because preorders almost ate through the entire printing. We had about 10 preorders and got like 2 extras I think? My store was a big store too, getting higher priority. They said they were able to get another small run done afterward, so every store got like 8 copies and thats what they have/had since.

They say that about every game

They wouldn't sell me the first Gears of War because I didn't preorder on release day. We only have enough to cover preorders.

I walked over to Best Buy and picked it up. I grabbed the the 3rd copy back in the 4 rows of them.

I mean it's marketing and people buy into it.

Make sure you pre-order two in case it's rare!!

If you're planning on keeping it sealed, just search for tricks to fix loose PS4 discs. PS4 cases are notorious for coming with loose discs but they're pretty easy to fix.

I may get around to it in my backlog by the time the ps6 comes out.

You are comparing a game that was sold at every retailer who sells video games nationwide and a game that was sold only at Gamestop and is a remake of a classic SNES game. I am sure GS/SE did not print millions of copies like they do with other titles. Is this game going to be worth $100 next week or next year, unlikely. But for the $8-12 this was going for the other week, it is a no brainer if you're a fan of the game.

If it doesn't become rare it was only a few bucks. If it does become rare, it was a nice bonus.

Modern commercial games are seldom rare, and are highly unlikely to hold much value in the long run.

Generally speaking that is true. And I never said this one will be rare, but for $8.50 there is nothing to lose. If it becomes rare it is a bonus.

A good, odd example of a game that has no reason becoming valuable, and was a "reprint" of an older game is MvC2 on the PS3. It was a GS exclusive and all it had in the case was a voucher code for PSN. Open it goes for $30-50, sealed it goes for around $100. I believe retail on it was $20.

Well I mean I was an employee for 3 years, and was at the time of that release, and that was the only time they said that to stores about a non collectors edition, so, going to have to say thats not "about every game." it was also true, because every single store got 0-3 extras until the reprint came months later.

You mean the case itself goes for $30-50, since you can assume the code has been used (or probably expired by this point)?  That's amazing.

I actually have that too, but I wouldn't sell it.

I have it as well, wish I kept it sealed, but of all the rare games that exist that I am aware of that one truly baffles me.

Just because a game is easy to find NOW does not mean it will not be rare later. I personally feel this game will become a rare title, maybe not worth more then $30-50, but for $8.50, it is worth a shot. Plus, on the upside, it's actually a good game, imagine that!!

Same, and I feel like even if it’s not my game, I can resell it for what I paid.

Not gonna lie... I bit the bullet for the same reason. GS is OOS online and no stores near me have it. I had mixed feelings about this remake from the bit I played but figured $15 after coupon is decent enough.

Nowadays for today's games, I don't buy for rarity. I buy to play the game. This is be because today practically every game is patched so nothing is actually really, totally on disc. Complete editions come close but even those still often need a patch or two to fix bugs.

Rare games - i.e. games that may still be worth something in the future - mostly ended after the last generation.

Modern commercial games can't be rare when they're all available to "buy" online for a fraction of the cost.

Games like Cannon Spike, Project Justice, or Haunting Ground - games you can't readily play/access otherwise - those are likely to hold value.

I bought it more or less because I wanted to give it another try and generally do not like digital so figured it's now or maybe never.

Too much porn I see

Heh idk who gets email porn. It's more about the trade off presented: Connivance for logging in by clicking a button (Google) for complete access to everything in my email. I don't understand why the company needs that info.
