pre-owned mortal kombat 11 (ps4/s/x1) $31.91 via gs w/ code cag16

While we all appreciate a deal... are you going to list pre-owned prices for every game with a discount code that's been active for more than a decade lol? Not to mention that only works online and the shipping cost alone is more than the discount, would be cheaper to buy in store.

It's definitely a bit of an odd thread, but you can order online with in-store pickup to use cag16 without paying for shipping.

There's no reason to buy the vanilla edition of a Mortal Kombat game when you know a complete edition is coming. Not to mention that complete edition will also drop to $20 shortly after.

Well one thing I thought about is the online will be a bit more robust with more people playing earlier in the life of the game. Sure it gets a little boost when the Complete comes out but by then most of the people still playing are the pros and the cheap shot artists that will wipe the floor with you. But if you are just looking to play locally or against people you know then yeah - I'm waiting for the Complete as well. Like almost all games, if you are willing to wait you can get it cheaper with the DLC included. Time is money.

I mean if you want to actually play the game now, go ahead and grab it. Waiting on the Komplete Edition (which will probably be missing things like MK XL) you'll probably just end up passing in favor of waiting for Injustice 3 to drop $20 and then the circle continues!

You're right. But I've learned that I don't put enough time into these to justify full price (especially if I want the extra characters), and mostly play local. I was actually arguing in favor of people that are going to play it more that they should consider getting it now like you are saying, because online will be more enjoyable. You're point about content and "the next thing" is also correct.
