I wonder if this will be super limited. I like it, but already have a Pro and with PS5 right around the corner not sure it makes sense for me to buy another one.

Let's do a simple analysis of this.

What are the pro's to buying this console?

- It's white, with a black hand print on it.

What are the cons to buying this console?

- It's $400

- You already have a PS4 Pro.
- PS5 next year


Now, if the pro's outweigh the cons, then you go spend $400. It's your money.

Once its announced it's still going to be at least a year before it launches. They still have too many big games coming out this year and early 2020 to announce a new playstation. At best you're talking christmas 2020, but I imagine 2021.

Still plenty of time to enjoy a ps4.

If I didnt have a pro already I'd get one. I'm not much on the controller but the system looks really cool.

 
As someone who doesn't yet have a PS4 Pro and am beyond excited for Death Stranding this is very tempting. As someone who doesn't play a ton of PlayStation (more often than not I'm gaming on my X1X now) and knows the PS5 is coming sooner than later I'm incredibly hesitant. Ugh

I thought the same thing but then Amazon had like new PS4 pros up yesterday for $350 and at check out you got a 20% discount. I imagine they got some damaged packaging on a skid of Pros and knew they couldn't sell then new so they did this to offload them. But the system itself will be new.

I paid $292 for it. There was a couple left last night.

If you're looking for a pro because you dont have one check amazon for the Like New certified. Got mine today and the suspensions were correct. Damaged box but brand new console and accessories. I will say too I really like the newer controllers and the grippiness. Triggers especially.
 
My PS4 is giving out unrecognized disc, this is temping to replace it. But knowing PS5 is imminent and backward compatible I'm on the fence.
