Pretty much universally panned, and I'm a big Contra fan. Sounds more like a wait for PS Plus or Games with Gold/Game Pass candidate.

If you like Contra, go with Blazing Chrome.

It's kinda depressing. They've fallen further than Capcom ever did. I still love me some modern Capcom, but when they showed the trailer for this game, I was surprised no one was talking about how unbelievably bad this game looked. I mean, I made a post here asking why no one was roasting it. It looked like... prime material for being mocked... it looked like it was meant to be a joke.

But remember how fucking good Konami used to be?

Just seeing that classic logo and jingle made me so fucking excited as a kid cause you knew you were gonna play something awesome.

Yeah, at least Capcom  throws effort into their games. I don't like Street Fighter V or DMC V but at least there is something resembling passion and competence. Mega Man 11 is legit an awesome game and even MVCI is my favorite fighter this gen despite all the problems with it.


But Konami....damn, they need to just license their shit out to other devs at this point. Have Capcom make Castlevania, have Wayforward make another Contra, etc.

They actually did with this game iirc. It was some weird company I've never heard of that made it.
