On places like reddit individual game threads are fine, but here we mainly lean towards the mega threads unless the deal is so good that the public needs extra notification. Most eshop sales last long enough that they are easy to discover.
On a side note, anyone that has specific games they are waiting for deals on should make sure they add them to their wishlist on the switch eshop. It sends out notifications when things go on sale, much like how steam does it, and it makes it easy when you want to see if games you want are available at discounts since you can load the store, go to your profile in the top right corner, and see the contents of your wishlist.
