Edit: Dead on Amazon, still $19.99 at Gamestop.

Edit:  Down to $19.99 at Amazon/Gamestop

I have seen a lot of people saying how good this game is, and how it was missing from all the BF ads; well it appears Amazon (and Walmart) have lowered it to around $30 now.  Seems to be a decent price for it.

Amazon - $29.99

Walmart - $30.82

Also 24.99$ on the PSN store if you don’t care for physical or have some credit lying around. Thanks grabbed a copy from amazon.

Super interested in this, but I just don't buy anything for more than $15. Backlog too huge. Gonna wait for it to drop more.
I'm in a similar boat on this one. Definitely intend to buy it, but I'm inclined to wait at least for $20. I'll pick up lesser known Japanese action rpg games at $30 in part because those titles tend to either go OOP or become harder to find (once the Amazons and Best Buys sell out of them) and thus start to go higher in price rather than lower.

This one should hit the $20 soon.

One of the most underrated games of the year. Really excellent, but I agree it starts to tail off to the end. Can't say why without spoiling story and gameplay.

Very excited to play this game, so thank you for not spoiling it:) I have been a resident evil fan since the first release back in high school and for whatever reason I felt RE2 remake also tailed off towards the end. Not sure why because the game is not long. I was a bit surprised at my reaction to it......oh well

yeah it looks like its gone.....sadness....literally about to order

edit: back in stock:)

To update, went ahead and picked this up at my GS for $30 when I had a giftcard. Truly phenomenal game!

The HDR in this game is nuts, definitely one to showcase your TV if you have a quality 4K set.  Tons of bright open flames in the night to sear your eyeballs with 1000 nits.

I see PS4 for $20 on Amazon, but Xbox seems to be back to $30. Did I miss a small window?
I think Amazon may have only matched the PS4 version, though the PS4 version is now OOS but they have stock of the XB1 version at $29.99.

Gamestop online and in store should have it for $19.99. You can also price match Gamestop to BB chat.

Bummer this is sold out on Amazon. I have some gift cards and would love to get this for $20, may check Gamestop during lunch. $20 has been the price I have been waiting for to pick up Cheapy D's Game of the Year!

Went to pick up an instore order at GameStop, they gave me an opened copy. Gave it straight back and asked for a refund. If I order new, give me new. I'll wait for Amazon to price match again, or maybe Best Buy will follow suit and I can stack with my GCU.

I hear you. Also would love to have this but the backlog is king. Realistically, by the time I got to this, it would probably be between $9.99- $14.99.

F* it. I called the store and they are holding one for me. I was told they had two copies left. For $20, I will try this game out with all the recommendations I have seen here. I had not even heard of this game until two days ago (never saw this thread). lol

I get it, but have you not shopped at Gamestop before, this is a very common practice and a game like this most stores probably only ever got 2-3 copies to begin with and they have to gut one of them to display unfortunately. Did you not plan on playing the game and just wanted a sealed copy or what? I understand that it is no longer technically new since it has been opened, but if you are going to play the game why does it matter so much when you are getting the game at a discount?

I personally also prefer to get new games sealed from Gamestop, but there have been many times where I will just buy the display copy due to a sale. If I am just going to open it myself anyway, I don't see it being that big of a deal.

Like a boss. I don't blame you. Games depreciate 90% as soon as the plastic wrap is removed.

The point is every other store that sells opened items sell them as open box at a discount. And it's also the point if you call it new then it should be new, and everytime they sell a opened game as new it just shows they can get away with what they want a little more.

Selling me a game where the box has been sitting on a shelf, dusty, picked up and sneezed on by 500 random people, stickers stuck on it, and the game probably taken home by an employee and played is not new and I wont pay a new price for it.

It's a bullshit move and everyone knows it.

I agree. If the display case and artwork is in great shape, I don't mind it at all since I'll be opening and playing the game anyway. But if the case and artwork is beat up, then I normally pass.

I am definitely not defending the practice. When I worked at Gamestop I made a big deal about it to corporate anytime I could and suggested a number of ways to display games without gutting new copies. I haven't worked for the company in well over a decade now, but when I did I can 100% guarantee a lot of the gutted 'new' games would go home with employees. It's certainly not the best way to go about it, but like this person is saying if the case is in good shape and not beat all to hell, I don't mind buying gutted copies. I actually have more of an issue with Gamestop selling used copies with generic cover-art for the same price as a complete copy. This is an immediate no buy for me and you see it a lot with DS, Switch, and Vita at Gamestop which is shame when they are running promotions on used product and you can't find anything you want that isn't a cart/disc only copy for the same price or slightly less than a new (possibly gutted) copy.

But what really matters is the game and not the complete package /s. I hate cart only, missing original graphics, sticker beaten, scratched, etc... looking games. When it's being sold as new that's way more insulting. Also being sold as complete is insulting too. I have some of these in my collection but generally got them when Gamestop was trying to get rid of DS and PS2 games so for some of the prices I would take what I could get.

It has to be insanely cheap for me to even buy it without the original case or it has to be something like Pokemon DS games that I know I can flip because I won't keep them in my own collection. Really the only time I buy loose games is via OfferUp where I can offer them less money for it not having the case and in these cases I become part of the problem since I typically will flip them to Gamestop.....

I've probably shopped at Gamestop less than 10 times since the merger. They still send open games with online orders. Not to mention they completely fucked up an order from a couple of months back.

Gamestop is dumb fuck employees, slimy managers and practices. Dirty ass customers, druggies etc.
