Had they added composite and a-video support, this would have been perfect. As is, for the consoles that don’t support RGB out of the box, you need another device like a Retrotink 2x. For what it does, it’s fantastic and the firmware updates a have been great.
That said, for consoles that can output RGB or composite, the OSSC output is fantastic. With the frame sister reaching EOL, it’s nice to have an alternative.

I've heard these made in china units use questionable parts. Just pay the Extra $20 and you can get one with the remote, remote overlay, and power adapter for $165, shipped from VGP.

That being said, I own an OSSC and a Framemeister and the OSSC has been far superior.

I mean, it is an open source project, and I would think anyone fabbing one is probably fabbing in China

I dunno, I just don't get the whole thing of converting analog to digital, you might as well just emulate it since your tv is going to introduce lag anyway. I mod all of my older systems to component and play it on a CRT.
