These 12 deals suck, they need to cut more than those prices.
No kidding, it feels like the same soup warmed over. I saw today's "deals" when they switched over at midnight and couldn't believe how lousy they are. I had already picked up MLB The Show for $12.99 before this started, lol.

Again not to exciting, why not new COD for $12 now that would make me to go buy
Gotcha so nothing too picky right? Would you like to add a PS5 for the low low price of 199.99? 😂😂😂

Today is Madden for 24.99.
Thanks for getting the word out! The new deals took quite a while to show up for today. I'm actually interested in this deal because I wasn't able to get it during BF/CM sales.

One can only hope...

This had me laughing for real.

Today is Borderlands 3 for $24.99.
Figure it’s only the big names since that’s all they carry at most of the boxes.

Thanks for sharing! It definitely seems like that's what they're doing. I got the main post updated shortly after midnight my time. I saw the "deals" for today and thought "how boring."

So I went to pick up the reserved copy of Madden 20 for xbox one at the selected kiosk outside a nearby Walgreens... From the looks of it thieves robbed the store first and decided to hit the kiosk afterwards. Chatted with CS and they canceled it.

Redbox will now longer be renting games by early next year. Hopefully we start to see some deep discounts on their stock soon

Wario just posted about it
I noticed when I looked at games on the site last night that the option to rent is gone. I thought nothing of it until you mentioned it and referenced Wario's tweets. Can't say I'm surprised with the way people steal games from the kiosks. I'm surprised they were testing Switch game rentals in select cities.

It sucks somebody decided to torch the kiosk trying to break into it where I had reserved Madden 20 for pickup. The only other Walgreens that may have is farther than I'd like to go just for one game. I'm fortunate The Crew 2 (XB1) and MLB The Show 19 weren't stolen and photocopied when I bought them recently.

Aw man, just started renting Jedi Fallen Order with discount codes. Got halfway done. Here's hoping they do end up slashing prices to buy games so I can pick it up cheap so I can finish it.

The deactivating of renting games, explains why the rent video games option on the Iphone app or the website is now gone.  On Saturday,I may have gotten the rarest Switch game at Redbox, Yoshi's Craft World when I used the app to locate this game  at a Walmart 15 miles out, then I returned it to a non walmart in my area and bought it for only 17.99. Switch games are not usually available in my area.

The buy option still doesnt work at Walmarts and now that the rent option is out its impossible to do what I did.

I had a chat with redbox and you can now longer rent games at the box either and games at Redbox kiosks at Walmart are no longer accessible. No new video games will be added and they will phase out their game inventory.

RIP for those games which I used to buy and flip to GS

Man this is terrible news - was a great service for trying on those marginal games!

Wonder what caused it? I assumed it was lucrative for them wonder if they received pressure / incentive from publishers?

What caused it is people using fake debit/credit cards to steal games via renting them. They would make photocopies of the stolen games to put into the case to return and fool the machine. Considering the games cost $60 a pop, I can't imagine how much money they were losing.

Looks like Death Stranding was the final game I was able to finish with free rentals. Was waiting for a good weekend to go through Jedi. Too bad.

Also, Redbox is struggling overall. Streaming is killing RB which is a shame because streaming rentals are usually way more expensive.

Just yesterday on Facebook marketplace, I saw a lady selling a copy of every new game.(conveniently enough madden, jedi, death standing ect)1 for each platform. They dont have the case. Yeah that's not shady at all. Trash like that are why the rest of us can't have nice things.

Today's new 12 Days of Deals deal hasn't popped yet.  I do the Winter Spins trivia question to get 75 rewards points on the Redbox website every morning, but it won't show the new 99 cent movie rental deal or the others.

The last game I rented (MK11) had a photocopied “disc.” It pretty much ruined my trust. I understand it’s not really their fault, but who wants the hastle?

Actually F redbox. They tried to give me free rentals instead of my money back when I got the fake MK11.

Just got the main post updated with today's deals. Sometimes I have to scroll down on the main page in order to see them because the dedicated page isn't updated right away. It's the 4th row down and listed as "Collections."

That's messed up on so many levels, no thanks on the free rentals. Just give me money back and let's move on.

Someone listed a likely stolen copy of The Crew 2 for XB1 without the case on Mercari. I think I've seen a few other games listed without cases on there as well. As you said, trash like this is why the rest of us can't have nice things.
