I don't ever recall Gamestop doing a buy 2 get 2 free deal, for ALL used games. Sounds too good to be true to me.  I hope that's accurate, and not B2G2 on games under 25 bucks or some catch.

Yeah, problem is nobody at any of the stores I've visited knows what's going to happen to elite... so with that kind of uncertainty, at this point I don't care if I get banned.

 

Also the number of pre-owned promos that GS has been running is semi concerning. First with the black friday B2G1, the 4 for $60, and now the B2G2. It's like they're trying to deplete all their used stock.

Part of me thinks it could be for one of 3 reasons: 

1. The sale is to get people to come in, find 1 or 2 good games and then say it and pick up some of the many trash titles in their stores to move out slower moving games to just clear things up or make room for other stuff (collectibles) 

2. Bolster their sales for the year. 

3. They're clearing stock because the end is neigh, but this is doubtful since they haven't had a real loss in the past 4-5 years (before anyone brings up their Jan 2019 loss, it was a one time write-off, not a real loss)
