Glad you are all ok. Also, well crap, I’m blood type A.

Also, Kentucky just had a spike in cases after their protests. That science thing really works!

Given incubation times, there is literally zero correlation.

I don't know what I expected from a game named MudRunner, but I've never seen a drabber, browner, grayer game before.

I second this.

It’s not long, either. 3-5 hours.

Just “beat” Dead Cells for the 1st time today. Immediately started another run.

Let's go with that, so what does that even matter. I just said it's weird they did an exclusive for 30 days. How much money did they pay out for a 30 day exclusive when they could have sold PC and Xbox versions also. It seems the time to sell all versions would be right now. I might be poor or worse in 30 days ;)

Do you guys know how exclusives even work? How quickly Xbox fanboys forget that back in the 360/PS3 days new maps always came to 360 first for a limited time. Because the 360 had a larger install base, especially for CoD.

Not sure what it’s like in your area, but here in PA we still have social workers making house calls

I was mostly just curious because I knew there were at least two or three social or psychology professionals on here so I was curious if they would be equally concerned with the mental and emotional crisis this is causing because I know some people, not all, see everything in tunnel vision through their profession. Like a police officer will look at everything with eyes of a cop, a physical healthcare worker will look at everything with mostly physical issues in mind. So I figured a sociologist would be talking a lot about the emotional and mental health and wellness of people a lot more then the average person. I just found it interesting.

I had already known about 1918 flu. I've wanted to be an anthropologist since I was about 11 and that was one of events in history I was always interested with but I didn't really think we would be going through something similar.

I agree with everything you said. It's probably going to be a tough balance all around the world.

Alien Breed 1-3 for 1.24 each are the 360 deals this week. Not BC.

Those games are so underrated.

How does that explain how exclusives work? Exclusive games have been on consoles with smaller install bases as well. But I think what pornosaur was getting at was that the vast majority of the country is at home and recieving a stimulus check, this month was the best time to sell for all platforms.

Because Sony signed into a contract to have any CoD content a timed exclusive, just like MS did last generation. Sony pays Activision extra money, hopefully offsetting any extra they would've made from other platforms. Like MS also did with GTA4's dlc, but that backfired immensely because MS overestimated how many people would buy the game on 360 when it seemed most GTA players associated that series with PlayStation. They spent millions for a year of exclusivity and didn't recoup their investment.
As for CoD, the contract is already in place. Activision can't break it because a completely unexpected quarantine occurred.
Anything else I need to explain?
Like I said, I guarantee none of the people complaining about this complained when they were getting maps early on 360.

Isn't it weird how there's so many Simpsons clips to correspond to so many things we talk about?

Also legit can't pick a single "best" quote in that whole clip. Nothing, but goddamn winners.

And a reminder to everyone playing Yakuza 0. Not as good or funny as Kiwami. Still good, just no where near the levels of 0.

This clips is a gem. I love the robot at the end "Why! Why was I programmed to feel pain!" Cracks me up every time for some reason.

Meaningful conversation acknowledging the nuance of different viewpoints? That is definitely against forum rules. Bring on the wild, racist, politically binary mudslinging! You filthy communist nazi.

So this being said...where is the best place to watch for the deals? I follow slick deals but prefer to avoid social media if possible...should I be following reddit? What is the benefit of following cag over these other sites...as related to games that is...

https://xbdeals.net/...counts?type=all

About the only site still running with price history. Otherwise, like others have said TA is probably the best source for a simple list with price and % discount. I'm fine to wait for Bloomy's post here, and I really like having recommendations and "reviews" to suggest things outside my roguelike, souls like, and souls inspired roguelike bubbles.

I have a hard time managing empathy and a lot of the personal posts here leave me emotionally distressed. I just can't turn away from other's personal tragedies and literally commiserating. It's a big part of why I work in a hospital lab and not directly with patient care. Sometimes I need to draw blood, listen to a patient's concerns, and start sobbing once there's an opportunity to drop persona. I'd like this thread to be an escape from that, but I understand why it gives a sense of community to others. Homer Simpson Flaws.jpg

A interesting read is what USC did in LA county. They tested everyone in the county and was shocked to find that 4.1% of adults for that county had the antibodies for Wuhan Flu and didn't even know they had the virus. Meaning 28 up to 55 times higher than what has been confirmed cases, I think the number was at 8,000 confirmed cases before the study. If we take the lower end of the est 28 times 8,000 comes to 224,000 then divide the death total of 617 as of Monday then you get a death rate of .27%. I see this as a good thing, we could start opening back up with caution.

I believe this is anecdotal evidence that shows that so many of us armchair quarterbacks and even many experts are very possibly playing the game with the wrong set of rules.

Damn you pulled that one out from April 22nd, bravo. Yeah that guy is dumb, Modern Warfare 2 was done in 2018, Activision and Sony had a contract to oblige but still seemed dumb that you'd limit yourself that way when people are sitting around going to spend $20 on hype. You can buy Trolls World Tour on this Tv, but not the one in the other room. Missed sales, but contract obligated.

So what's the plan here with Phil and Japan. Phantasy Star Online 2 is a 2012 game and such a random thing to port over for no apparent reason. Is anyone playing it currently? They launched gamepass in Japan last week, they are saying it was a mistake to delay the Xbox One launch the 8 months in Japan. Sega is handing out IP like candy to bad devs like the Panzer Dragoon remake. What's going on here, is Phil going to finagle a Phantasy Star V, Blue Dragon 2 or a Skies of Arcadia 2? Why the sudden interest again in the Japanese market, I don't think they can ever make a dent, unless it's just a foothold to the rest of Asia Pacific, Hong Kong/China. Seems so random they are trying again.

I'm considering grabbing both Guns, Gore and Cannoli games during this sale.  Also considering the Valfaris & Slain Double Pack but I am concerned because when you view the pack through their web store it only shows that Valfaris is included.  I wonder if it is glitched.

Could someone provide some feedback on Diablo 3 co-op?

Introduced my spouse to Diablo 2 and we have been playing together over LAN. What we like is that we can quest together or do our own thing since we are on separate computers. We played Dark Alliance 1&2 and being able to explore off on our own in D2 is something we really prefer over the DA experience.

That said, how does D3 co-op compare to D2? Console vs. PC, split screen vs. online/LAN? I am trying to determine if it would be better to buy PC copies vs. XB1?

You forgot a very important sequel that we need in addition to Phantasy Star, Blue Drago and Skies of Arcadia....

Lost Odyssey

I’d also accept a remake of the original Skies of Arcadia.

D3 on Xbox shared screen is kind of a pain, but can be fun in the right setting. There is no split screen is fairly straight forward (2nd player warps to first if off screen) but when viewing inventory (which is often) one player takes up the entire screen.

D3 on Xbox for multiple consoles works great.  I'm pretty sure you must be in the same "level" but can explore any section of it and do not need to be on the same screen.  Obviously, you can be on in different levels if you are not in the same game.

Sorry, but I can't compare to PC, but I assume it's similar.

Yeah- what WNYX585AM said.  The console version is a ton of fun to play and I think the game does really well using a controller.  Multiple consoles are ideal screewise, but playing couch co-op can be a blast as well; you just to remember you're playing together and not run off out of the screen

It's not random. The new consoles launch later this year, and Xbox has to look like they're at least trying in Japan. Each Xbox system has sold worse than the generation before it - Xbox One is advertised as a blu-ray player there. It might be a foregone conclusion for you or me that Series X won't even make a dent in that market, but they really want to court Japanese developers to release games for their platform.

Just to show you the scale of how lacking Xbox is on this front, I signed up for PlayStation Now a few days ago since it's on sale. I didn't do an official count, but this streaming service alone has more Japanese games than Xbox One does in its entirety.

I've played a lot of remakes this gen, but haven't felt like trying any RPGs because of the time-sink involved for something I've already played before...

... But Skies Of Arcadia? Goddamn, I would love to explore that world again.

I Played Mudrunner yesterday to get that Rewards Quest points and...you know, I'm just going to just straight up be a bit racist and ask was that game made for rural Eastern European people? Because I feel the game has a weird and very specific target demographic and it sure as hell isn't people who want to have fun.

Appreciate the input... any idea on two XB1s over LAN? Can it be played locally with two consoles on the same network or will we both need Gold/etc. subscription for only us to play co-op on two consoles? I assume two copies of the game are needed as well?

I ask all this because it was so easy to set up the co-op local using my original copy of D2 key from 2k. Download the game from my Blizzard account on my PC and her Mac Air, launch, type in the IP, play game.
