You can always make disease cures if you have one of the various recipes, there is one for each region that needs flora you can find in said region. The Forrest one is the easiest one to get, and easy to make. It needs 1 boiled water, and 2 each of bloodleafs, snaptail reeds, and firecaps. If you invest in the green thumb perk you can collect double the flora than usual, and you don't need to keep in on all the time just when you are collecting. Antibiotics are also an option, they will also give you 50% disease resistance for a bit. Mods are different in 76 than 4. When you craft one (or use a loose mod you found) it can't be removed again, if you change the mod it will destroy the previous one. You have to install the mod yourself, it won't be automatic. I rarely bothered with the loose mods, if I get them as a reward I just break them down now, even if they don't break down to any junk. Between my characters I know about 95% of the weapon and armor mods so I can just make any I want. You were probably at Dane's Compound, there is a cage with power armor behind it in the basement of one of the buildings. You can unlock it from the terminal upstairs with just 2 hacking I believe. Been a long time since I scrounged for power armor parts. I can craft every type now except T-60, those plans are very rare.
Yeah, it can't handle being left open when you shut down. There was even a bug that took them three months to fix that made it impossible to switch characters if it ever timed out (like shutting down) so I would have to quit to dashboard to switch to the character I wanted.
Not sure if I have come across firecaps or snaptail reeds yet but I did see them available to make so that's good. I saw that terminal but I am only at 1 skill so I need to level up in intelligence next and look for that perk. I don't have the green thumb perk. Not a high priority right now.
Every time I see dirty water I start singing the Foo Fighters song and every time I see a sledgehammer, I start singing the Peter Gabriel song. Am I the only one? I am glad that I didn't buy this game and play it right when it came out. I didn't have Gold at the time anyway so I couldn't have even if I wanted to. It's a shame a single player mode wasn't available at launch and hopefully Bethesda keeps updating it for the better.
