What if I tell you Conan feels like he weighs as much as a semi truck and the game decided that's the kinda character that needs platforming segments? That or set pieces meant to destroy parts of the level to open up a path occasionally not destroying said needed path open so you have to reset? How many copies are you buying now??

I have the original XBox Elite controller.  Other then a bad grip which I replaced recently seems to be working well.  I have have a battery pack and stand for it that work well. 

 

Any reason for me to upgrade to an Elite 2?

They've got the Bluetooth functionality built in, and a third preset configuration selection on the switch. I think one a few other minor tweaks. Quality control still sounds like hit out miss though, so haven't used one myself.

Two of February’s GamePass games have been announced Dreamscaper (2/3) and Besiege (2/10).

I spent about $35, which is less than 2 hours of work, so I figure if 1-2 of them go GWG, that's better than missing out on others to potential delistings.

I've also started making all XBL purchases with giftcards bought from Best Buy, so I get reward points and spending towards Elite status there. Add in Rewards points for purchases plus Bing cashback and it's a nice little feedback loop.

That's actually not correct.  Various apple products do not count towards rewards points, most notably macbooks.

EA announced Respawn is making 3 Star Wars games now. Fallen Order sequel, a new FPS that doesn't sound like it's Battlefront, and a strategy game that they're overseeing from a different studio, sounds like XCOM style based on the staff.

Hmm, apparently that happened in 2019. It's such a low return ($5 back on every $250 spent is 2%) that it feels really petty. TIL.

Yep. Free 2 day shipping similar to Prime, extended warranties on purchases, etc. You can also bank reward points, which is kinda nice. There's a store ~20 miles away from me and I often get orders same day I place them with Elite status. I'm trying to shop at Amazon less, so any kind of incentive or perk to shop somewhere else is welcome to me.

I found out Apple products don't count for Best Buy points :/ Bought my wife an ipad for xmas and my best buy points shows an "Apple exception" on that. Boo.

I have 2 Elite series 2 and I think 9 Series 1 Elites. Guess which I prefer? The Series 2 had several improvements, but two things I don't like. First and foremost, I hate built in batteries, I've had a lot of lithium ion batteries fail in various ways over the last 10 years, but only 1 AA low self-discharge nickel–metal hydride battery has failed me in that amount of time. I also don't like the added texturing to the faceplate, it doesn't feel good on my hands, it rubs different than the grips do. I do like the extra profile on the Series 2 though, that and Bluetooth are the two features I miss on the Series 1.
