You know, when I saw what it was before it started playing, after seeing your post, I had hopes that they did the trailer. I was not disappointed. That is absolutely incredible.

Isn’t today the day they normally would announced the back half of the month’s GamePass games? Maybe they’ll announce them at the extended showcase?

We've definitely been spoiled by stealth launches. I'm honestly surprised and disappointed that Goldeneye wasn't launched on Sunday.

It might get announced today at the extended showcase. They just showed a new game.

The dream might be dead. Last chance is the rumored Nintendo Direct on the 26th. If nothing there then the anniversary speculation for August might be correct. We've definitely been spoiled by stealth launches. I'm honestly surprised and disappointed that Goldeneye wasn't launched on Sunday.

RIP Peter Scolari, a few days late. I wondered why he wasn't on Evil anymore.
EDIT - a few months, wow

The new Playstation service is up and the list of games is pretty impressive. Of course, Sony removed 250 games with no warning so that sucked but the games they do have on there are better than I expected. There are games that are also on Game Pass but also many that aren't like Ass Creed Valhalla and other 3rd party games. Its going to be interesting between MS and Sony trying to figure out which games I am actually going to buy and also how long games stay on their services. I know that right now, MS first party games will never leave the service so Sony should do something similar. Very cool time in gaming knowing I have so many games available to play anytime I want and that I have already paid the sub fee for.
Wait, Sony removed 250 digital games from PSN???

So according to new Todd Howard interview, Elder Scrolls 6 is only in pre-production. To which I ask WHY THE DO THESE COMPANY'S FEEL THE NEED TO MAKE ANNOUNCEMENT TRAILERS WHEN A GAME IS SO FAR OFF? That was like what? 2018 or 2019 we had that trailer?? And doing bullshit guessing I'm guessing game won't release until the very friggin earliest 2024 holiday season?

At the tail end of independent Bethesda, it was clear their board of directors or whatever were trying to milk everything hard at the end. Stuff like way too early announcements, multiplayer microtransaction heavy installments of single player series like Fallout and Wolfenstein, exclusivity deals that they hadn't been doing. So according to new Todd Howard interview, Elder Scrolls 6 is only in pre-production. And nobody is happy when we get a showcase with gameplay for games that are less than a year out.

I Will in the very least say I enjoy this format more than E3 Bethesda stage show thing or whatever because fuuuuck I hate having Todd Howard present. I Don't know what it is, but something about his bravado irritates me when he's in front of a crowd. Also were they even a publicly traded company before Microsoft bought them? Unless they were trying to impress Microsoft to buy them with all the far in the future projects they had.

Man, no one is ever happy at any video game based presentation. Personally I enjoyed it, but I can't tell you a damn thing about most of the games they should from around 30 through 60 minute mark, but whatever, it's probably coming to Game Pass so I can deal!

I liked it too. There wasn't really anything surprising, but it was a safe play and it's nice to know there is plenty to play in the next year.
There is plenty on Xbox that wasn't at the show also like Saints Row, Gotham Knights, and Outriders DLC. I like co-op games, so those all have my interest.
I like what I saw of Starfield. Everyone knew it would be Fallout in space. I don't know why some people are acting surprised.
High on Life looks good, but many of the smaller games didn't hold my attention.

I guess Gunn was BTFO here.
Had to look up this studio. They were announced 3 weeks ago as a "spin-off" company from Kadakowa Games, who were the Japanese publisher for Lollipop Chainsaw.
Hard to say what that means for the West. I would suspect a different publisher might take over, like how No More Heroes used to be published by Ubisoft. Depending on who does it, maybe they swap out some of the licensed tracks and dump some of the anime costumes. Worst case scenario maybe it doesn't see a Western release.
Pachinko senses tingling!

They straight up said when they announced it that they were only confirming it's existence so people would stop asking about it.

They announced it...people are still asking about it. If anything they're asking about it more because they gave it a special announcement title card and letting people think they're somewhere in the middle of development not simply still (at the time) pre-pre-pre-development.

I got the rewards top 10 offer in the Xbox app done with a day left in the monthly quest. I didn't want to start any other stupidly grindy game, but the last Minecraft Dungeons achievement finally progressed enough thanks to the tower resetting at midnight. Those title update achievements are so dumb. The game was fun at launch, but they keep making up grindy reasons to keep playing it with little new content like it's a Gears game.
Also, since it was announced, we have known ES6 wasn't going to get any development love until Starfield was done.
