With Rings of Power, I’ve been in the mood to play a LoTR game. So fired up Shadow of War. Surprised at how poorly it’s aged when it’s not that old. And, ewww, 30 FPS. We need a new one! Actually just a new game in the universe. Not necessarily the same model as the Shadow games.

I wondered if the Totino's NBA 2k22 promo was the only junk food gaming contest we'd have as the year wound down.

 

My local Safeway had the marked Doritos bags, bought 2.  Little tough to read the black on blue printing on the Cool Ranch bag.  The silver on red Spicy Nacho code is much easier to see.

 

The email for the Forza costume included both an Xbox code and a Steam code.  I redeemed the Xbox one, here's the Steam one - 86PLA-5BZBY-5INCB.

 

Waiting for the email for the Halo Infinite code and the GPU codes.  Forza code took 5-10 minutes to arrive.  The site wouldn't let me pick Forza again.

 

Edit - Halo code came in.  It's not an XBL code, but redeemed through the Halo Waypoint site.

Looks like Forza Horizon 4 isn’t going to be delisted anytime soon, despite being four years since release.

I’m guessing since Horizon 4 was the first Forza to launch on Game Pass, MS got some better licensing terms than in the past.

It's made me want to finish the DLC for Shadow of mordor or start War but haven't had the time. I had such a good time with mordor when it came out I'm nervous it won't hit the same.

I don't have high hopes for the gollum game if it ever comes out. Not a huge stealth fan and don't think I'd want to play one for a long time (why Alien isolation is still in the backlog) so if it's a $60 game that's 20+ hours I don't think I'd check it out any time close to release.

I very badly want their stockpile of el cheapo Neo-Geo games (since Hamster hasn't had ANY kind of sale on the Xbox for years) but I just as badly don't want to send private information to random people on the internet. Nobody at GOG or GameBillet or Steam or Epic or whatever is demanding a photo ID from me, like I was buying liquor and a porno mag instead of old video games.

That and there was a three year gap between main entries so MS probably negotiated a license extension ahead of time.
It'll be gone either next year or 2024 at the latest.

I would worry if I were you, I submitted my CC that way and a month later started getting fraudulent charges on my account, had to call bank, cancel card, it was not worth the wait to get my 200+ in charges credited back to my account. Watch account daily!!!!

Yeah, that was kind of a concern. They want my ID, not my debit card, but who knows what they could do with that information. If I could just pay with PayPal, get my games, and go on my merry way (like every OTHER game distribution service, cough), that'd be different, but there's just too much risk involved for a handful of cheap Neo-Geo games.

Just put Google Pay money into your account. Works for me and they never asked for ID once.

The Rockstar one a few years back was great. Got $60 worth of credit just for "drinking energy drinks".

By far the best for me. I got, ballpark, about $240 in credit from that one. I was lucky to know two people who don’t game that drank them daily and would collect their tabs for me. Plus I was already drinking them anyway too. Man that was a lot of code entries, two codes to enter for every reward! But so worth it!

I grabbed the games Death Road to Canada for $5.99 and Sturmfront: The Mutant War for $1.99 this morning before they went off sale.

 

I'm still debating Stay Cool, Kobayashi-San and Sega Genesis Classics since both appear to be on sale for another 7 days.

With Scorn and A Plague’s Tale: Requiem?!? Those two alone are pretty big day one releases. Medieval Dynasty and Eville are also day one releases I’m looking forward to trying out. Chivalry 2 is also a nice add.

I actually think it’s a pretty strong first half. But everyone has different tastes I guess.
