Trying to decide which of my accounts (mine or my wife's) I redeem points from for Hogwarts Legacy. It's either buying direct with my account or gifting from hers.

How does it typically work with games that offer 72-hours early access with deluxe editions? I can't pre-order and gift from hers... Do we think the deluxe edition will "release" on the 7th, or will it still be a pre-order until the 10th?

I’m not sure about which account you should buy from. I only use my one. If you get the Digital Deluxe version, you’ll be able to play on the 7th.

It took two night's and doing a bunch of the training stuff and playing a bit solo, but God, I think me and my friend's are finally starting to enjoy Monster Hunter. Finally getting the hang of the gameplay loop.

Ain't nobody got time for that.  Button mashing as fast as I can has gotten me through the first couple of parry levels.  I hope I can just keep doing that and don't have to actually get good at parrying

I know I'm super behind, but finally finished The Devil In Me tonight and I gotta say I think it was the best game in the Dark Pictures Anthology by far. Wasn't perfect and still wasn't nearly as good as The Quarry or Until Dawn but still really enjoyed it. Looking forward to Season 2

Emulation is the way to go for many of the older games being delisted. The newer Xbox versions sometimes don't hold up. On Retroarch Mame I can play the original Daytona.

I agree of course. I got Daytona back when it came out on 360 (2011) and back then Retro arch was not a thing.  I have used Mame on PC for decades now. The nice thing about XBLA was you could easily play these arcade games online with your friends or random people. That was so much fun with Konami titles like X-Men and The Simpsons. A lot of these games are delisted now.  

 

Also on the list of the titles that are getting removed from the 360 marketplace that were fun arcade games is Final Fight Double Impact. In that game random people could join your play through of Final Fight/Magic Sword which was cool. You can get the same experience with the Capcom Beat em up bundle now so not sure it is worth picking up Double Impact at this point.

I have come to despise QTEs mostly in modern games because they love to throw then in too much in my opinion.  QTE placement in a game needs to be predictable for me or it becomes an annoyance real fast.
