 1. Just look at Cyberpunk 2077 for example. 3 years later it's like playing two different games and it's still continually being improved upon to this day.

Did they ever really recover?  I paid $9 for and waited a long while to play it.  I think it played fine and I enjoyed it.  But is anyone paying $40 or more for this game?  Haven't they kind of really screwed this franchise.   I have to look and see if/when the DLC is out and is cheap I will probably buy it.   

 

I hope Redfall is solid and not a pile of crap on release like Cyberpunk 2077 was.  I will likely be fine with 30 fps if it is fun and plays well otherwise.  Hopefully they actually patch 60 fps in say in 6 months.  

 

I was never a big Halo guy but they screwed the pooch on that one as well.

 

I sort of wish developers would scale back the huge worlds and go for a medium sized world that isn't dead, buggy and plays horribly.

I have both a Switch and a PS5 and think I should be more excited for Tears of Kingdom and Final Fantasy 16. Can understand Tears because I never finished Breath of the Wild. Need to watch some more videos and that showcase today for FF 16.

Minecraft Legends getting reviews that are all over the place. From 5s to 9s. Settling at 71 right now on OpenCritic. Sounds like a basic RTS for beginners, which is fine for its main audience. I’m still going to check it out.

I'm personally excited for all these games. I have Tears on preorder. Going to Preorder FF16 soon along with Diablo 4. I'm sure all of them will be fun. I can't wait for Jedi Survivor, 14 more days.

 

I been looking forward to Redfall and always have good fun with a coop game like Redfall.  While 30fps at launch is disappointing I was talking to a friend the other night while we were playing Evil West coop on PS5. I asked him if he prefers performance mode or quality mode when playing games. He basically told me he just leaves games on the default settings. For most game default settings are quality mode. I changed Evil West settings to performance mode.

 

I never really cared about performance until this generation but If I have the option to play at 60FPS I choose that option. When Redfall gets patched to 60FPS I will adjust the settings and change it. I do think that while most people on the internet seem upset about this and they got to get their tweet, post or youtube video out there saying how horrible this is for Xbox, I really don't think it is that big of a deal in the big picture. I bet they have data to prove this as well and that is why they are trying to stick to the launch date they set. Today most games receive patches and I expect Redfall to get patches even if it did launch with performance mode. I just want a fun game to play with my friends and Redfall looks like the type of game we will all enjoy.

It now appears that Frank O'Connor has left 343. With Bonnie Ross out last year and Kiki Wolfkill "promoted" to overseeing other MS franchises a few months ago all the supposed heralds of the poor decisions made for the past decade are gone. Plus the other departures of good devs like Joseph Staten and Spath.
