Damn. Lord of the Rings Gollum has a 40 average on OpenCritic. Several 2/10 reviews including GameSpot. Yikes!
Because he's constantly showing ball in the game or not showing ball?

4 weeks??? That's insanity... did you miss a bunch of days for weather??
I teach Biology at the High School level. We started in mid-August and finish up today with 173 instructional days. I think we only missed 2 days around Thanksgiving due to attendance/flu and any weather related closures we used NTI days to cover.
Weather? Sorry, I live in Southern CA, weather closures don't exist for us. We started around mid to end August. It just feels like it's dragging on at this point.

How many days is your contract for? We have 185 days per school year, but typically only 173 to 175 instructional days with the rest being made up with Professional Development. I don't understand... if you started around the same time as us you shouldn't be going that long unless Cali has major differences in your school year requirements or calendar or something.
I tried out Pentiment while sitting here. I know it's critically acclaimed and it's very well done, and my formative years were spent playing Sierra point and clicks, but it hasn't hooked me yet. Maybe I'm just in a mood. I'll probably come back to it.

Got around to watching the Sony presentation last night and it was mind-numbingly boring except for Dragon's Dogma II and Spiderman 2 actually. I see now they've poured all their resources into the new 'Uncharted' franchise because it was probably the best cinematic game experience I've seen since they holstered their flagship title. Do I care to play it? no; never liked Spiderman, and Batman already fills that niche for me.
Wife's comment on Alan Wake 2 (which she did love the OG) was it took too long. Pretty sure we're both in the same boat of just waiting for Silent HIll 2.

The well reviewed Pokémon-like Cassette Beasts is finally out on Xbox GamePass today after releasing on PC last month.
Apparently Cassette Beasts is a really long game with tons of post game content as well. Great for those who like to get their money's worth from a game. Feel like waiting for more impressions before investing that much time into it but at the same time the game looks so cool that I'm tempted to check it out. The reviews have all been overwhelmingly positive.

Gameflip code, 35% off with code FESTIVITIES. Max says it's $3, but actually got $5 off my order.
EDIT: lolololol also some shady ass shit with some sellers. Bought a code from Gametrue account for Dragon Quest Builders 2 and they immediately cancelled my order and then doubled the price of all their other listings.

Thanks for this! Had wanted the new League of Legends game, Convergence, and was able to get it for $15 with the $5 off.

I'm curious, but how many games are in your "Owned" category? Not counting Game Pass or GWG, but straight up got digitally and in the collection forever because it feels like you're able to find bare minimum three games to own each week.

My expectations were low for Gollum but man. As someone who can pretty much quote the entire movies. I just want some great LOTR games.
Shadow of Mordor/Shadow of War were great LOTR games IMHO

Just checked and have 1069. I’ve also been with Xbox since the very beginning. But I know there’s people here that have a lot more than that.I'm curious, but how many games are in your "Owned" category? And yes, cheap games on GameFlip have contributed greatly to that total…

Ya I totally loved those. But besides those two and the Lego Hobit game I feel like we really need some more. Was reminiscing the old days when I'd play the Two towers and Rotk on GameCube for hours. Xbox and 360 generations had quite a few Lotr games I loved.

Does anyone know of a website like DekuDeals but for Digital Movies and TV Shows?
I've had good success with https://uvspider.com. It compiles inventory from multiple sites to find the cheapest price.

You could read the books. Not sure how many times I've read the trilogy cover to cover, definitely in the double digits, but after rereading The Hobbit earlier this year, I've started LOTR again. Just finished A Knife in the Dark earlier today. One of these days I'll tackle the Silmarillion again.

Thanks, picked up the Gollum game that everybody’s talking about. Can’t wait to play it!
Actually I bought RDR2 ultimate so I can sell my disc copy. No issues with getting my code.

Heh, I'm only two behind with 1067 owned games digitally right now. Obviously even more with non-bc games and disc based ones. I only started using Gameflip in February however I will say I did add a good amount since then as well...

I just finished Shadow of War today with the true ending. It's going to be rough to finish the first one since the Nemesis system was simpler in that one. I'm mulling getting the bundle over on PSN, which includes the complete versions of both games, including the Baranor and Blade of Galadriel DLCs for $10.Ya I totally loved those. I'm also playing LOTR Tactics on PSP. It's a turn-based strategy game. Unlike other games in this genre, all the units move simultaneously. Have you tried LOTR Online? It's a very old MMO now, but I want to finish it since I expect it to be shut down once the new one from Amazon is released.

Goddamn Zelda is so good that I don't even bother getting my Daily Achievement on some days now because it interferes with my time with that game, which I don't think was ever possible.
Yep as my son and I are totally sucked in. My Bing streaks ended on all three accounts (mine, wife and son’s account) and did not get the points for searches as well on more than one day. Did not do daily Mario kart tour races.
Hats offs to Nintendo on this one (and Monolith as they helped)

I'm playing Zelda also. It's been 2 weeks and I'm still going after shrines and seeds to get better before following the main story too much. I started doing some of the side quests I've found so far and should get into the story this weekend. I had a few short nights due to busy work days or yard work, but get a few hours in a night.

I heard good things about Arcade Paradise on Podquisition from Conrad. It has depth if you want.
