You mentioned the Disney games, any experience with those? I don't have a Kinect so do they require one? I am always interested in good games that are appropriate and appealing to my 3 year old daughter.

I've put in dozens of hours with both games. My 4 1/2 year old daughter likes the Pixar game the best since its half racing and the other portions are simple, but entertaining fetch quests. She likes to watch me play the Disneyland game so she can see her character hugging all the princesses, dancing, changing into various Disney outfits, etc. We use a controller, never once tried Kinect......I had both games back when they came out on 360 which required Kinect 1.0 and man, those were rough controls. I worked out daily back then and I'd be exhausted after playing 30 minutes. Plus the controls weren't precise. It was hard to get 5 stars in half the mini-games. But now that we can use a controller on the Xbox One, no problem getting 5 stars

It was possible for the flags in the original AC too glitch out. I remember back in the day finding other people that it had happened too. Either there was some kind of a save glitch where it would be collected and wouldn't register or just never appeared. You guys are lucky you eventually found the missing one. I went through the entire map THREE times with a flag by flag picture guide and the one I was missing just wasn't there. It still irks me...

Was this an email, a message on your Xbox, something that popped up as an ad on your Xbox?

It was an email.from Turn 10 asking If I wanted to participate in Xbox research and be compensated with a year of Game Pass Ultimate. Turn 10 has always been solid for rewarding research. They asked for me not to watch the.event live, but to wait until they send me a link and answer questions in a certain amount of time.

PSA to those concerned about the 1-point achievement at the beginning of Moving Out.  If you are willing to spend a little time playing the game, this is easily correctable.  You must complete the first 13 levels (maybe 90 minutes of gameplay).  After the first 10 levels, there is a sequence of 3 levels with ghosts.  Just don't slap any ghosts (easy since you have to intentionally do this), and you'll get a 69-point achievement (yeah baby!) that evens things out.

So if you are interested in a family-friendly couch co-op game in the vein of Overcooked but you want to preserve your multiple of 5 gamerscore, it's not difficult to do.

Finished my first puzzle in the TA Hangman.  Picked a second, and thanks to a punctuation mark, I figured it out without any letters.

Hi All,

Venturing back to CAG after (looks at my previous post) over a year away...

Had to unfollow the old thread, and clicked on over to the new one...read the posts on the first page from January, and well... those were more carefree times. I wish everyone good physical and mental health (Mens sana in corpore sano) and happy gaming!

My own financial and housing situation was turbulent for most of last year, and as a result I ended up selling my PS4 because I was able to get more money for it than for my Xbox One. It was during a trade-in promotion, and I had been playing much less on all my consoles at the time (I also have a PS3 and Xbox 360 which are worth squat for trade in).

Right now things have stabilized--not in an ideal situation, but enough so that I have a roof over my head and a little extra money to spend each month--so I'm counting my blessings, and getting back into the sales. I'm getting the AC Origins and AC Odyssey Gold Editions since they're both 75% off, and also got Forza Horizon 3 even though it was only 50% off. That should keep me busy for a few months!

Good to be back!

always a pleasure to see someone land back on their feet

even just a tiny bit extra to spend every month feels like a thousand pounds lifted off your shoulders and chest when you are climbing out of the hole

hopefully more struggling around here also get to a better spot too along with you

The Xbox Rewards app is doing the thing again where it doesn't record achievements. Guess I have to send another report to Microsoft through the console.

Does anybody know when Xbox is going to show the price of the console, is it in June or July?

I believe they said their next upcoming announcements are going to be July but I could be mistaken

Seems like June.

"In an interview with executive vice-president of Gaming at Microsoft, Phil Spencer, Bloomberg reports June will "highlight the Xbox platform and services."

When I had that issue this week... I know it seems odd but making a search on bing mobile fixed it. One search than I clicked and it worked. It might have been a coincidence too.

I lost almost 200K of gamerscore after an achievement in Batman Telltale did not unlock for me.  Achievements I had already unlocked started unlocking again.  Issue seems to be widespread and other people are encountering the problem as well.

Rocket league seems to be a culprit as well, seen a few people experiencing it

Hey man, glad you're back in again; I'm not new to life struggles and while many look at video games as frivolous things, especially when you're struggling, I always found it very comforting to have a means to forget the woes and do something I cannot, in real life.

I always come back more focused, relieved and generally better prepared than before. That is, unless I hit a 1 point achievement, that just pisses me off. (j/I, it doesn't. It's a fav pet peeve for many and everyone has something that bothers them the most).

Anyways, I'm just an internet stranger welcoming you back to spending stuff on frivolous things and not having a care. Have fun.

Anyone else having problems going through games with dark or bleak subject matter these days? Like I want to run through Nier and am on my third playthrough and man, I feel I can only do that game in the afternoons when there's light out. Besides that Yakuza Kiwami 2 on my PS4 and Streets of Rage 4 are far and away great welcome distractions from the terrifying world outside for me.

I can't play The Division and it's sequel. It's too damn real now.

Working from home I think I’ve been doing more hours and with keeping the kids doing there homework, a lot of nights I’m exhausted so I end up watching tv instead of playing something.

Lol. Same here. Kind of sad to be too tired to play video games. But it’s the truth.

Though I suppose I could just flip on the X1X and stare at the backlog.

You’re not alone. I’ve been working through FF7 remake and taking care of a three month old. Fell asleep playing a slower section of the game, woke up to cloud running endlessly into a wall.

Played Streets of Rage 4 with a friend on Saturday and finished it solo the next day. It's very good and some great retro nostalgia. I really like how each level is its own thing for scores and lives in reserve, it makes for a great balance compared to beating it all in one sitting / one set of lives. There is also a lot more nuance to fighting than just jumping and attacking, and the enemy variety requires some strategy too.

They won't say anything until Sony does. Sony can't really afford to sell the PS5 at a loss and Microsoft kind of has no choice but to match or beat their price.

I found a few levels unbalanced from a length perspective, and I get the complaints man this feels slow. Just pick Cherry and rock out, it's so fun. Ha I haven't had the chance to play 4 player local, but supposedly you can trick Steam into thinking you're all right there.

Was it the underground tunnel, the sewer or the tall building?
