I think the Cyberpunk 2077 special edition was probably the last batch of 1X consoles, or close to it. Hard to say it's worth getting one now unless you can't afford the Series X and NEED to play X Enhanced Xbone games specifically for whatever reason. Pretty much everything else would be better on Series S for the same price aside from storage space and no disc drive.

Those are pretty big things to want and not have! To just buy the series s instead.

Yeah, I was mostly saying there is a use case that makes sense to want a One X still, but fairly limited. One other reason that comes to mind would be if the 4K Blu ray player is something that's needed. Unless they price drop the One S, an X would be the better buy.

Really there are so few next gen exclusives that finding a decent price on the old stuff is viable for at least a year. Xbox specefically only has The Medium as far as I can tell.

Any sign of the Halloween sale?

I have wanted to buy Five Nights at Freddy’s for a long time and they’re reasonably priced at $7.99 each but maybe they would go on sale for an event like that.

Horror movie sale is live, also comes with spend $40 get 4,500 points.

Agred. First fps (and Doom) I ever quit

I also stopped after a bit. Not what I'm looking for, I can't handle the spikes. Very much a me thing, in another time I would love it.

I sold my original XB1X to a friend so I decided to go ahead and open up the Cyberpunk X I got back in June and wow... I've never been tempted to put a console vertical before but this thing is pretty sweet and making me rethink my setup.

If not an expansion, how about split screen multiplayer in Forza horizon 4?

Nice, how can you tell how much have you redeemed so far for the year and how much is the max per year? is there somewhere we can check or you just keep tabs on it?

There is a link at the bottom of your rewards main page titled "Go to your rewards history" :

https://account.micr...em/orderhistory

There you can add up what rewards you redeemed for the year.  The Max redemption for a calendar year is 550,000 points.

Welp, one thing this Rewards quest has done is made me shoot my gamer score up quite a bit, and as it got closer to reaching the milestone, I decided to play around with the numbers. May I present...

Now I can go nuts again. Many thanks to everyone listing easy games, and big thanks to Moving Out for working on my old ass MacBook with Windows dual loaded so that I could get the 1 point achievement on both Xbox and Windows :)

Congrats!  I also just crossed the 100k mark.  Completely forgot about it when trying to give myself an overnight buffer for the GTASC.  Started Win10 MS Jigsaw and played a bit to trigger achievements tied to my Win8 save.  Didn't realize it until I saw the note on TA that I passed it.

Is that $150 55inch TCL decent from the Walmart ad? It’s crazy they can sell them so cheap. I guess it helps when the Chinese government foots the bill. Kind of makes me want to buy them knowing the Chinese Govt is paying for most of the TV for me. I have an 8 year old Samsung 55inch 1080p tv... this bargain TCL would be better, right?

I'm seeing a 80 percent discount on observer redeux if you own the current gen version. Otherwise a 10 percent discount on pre-ordering. So if it goes on sale the next two weeks you'll get a huge discount. Otherwise looking at pre-ordering it for $27.

I really like the TCL line. I bought a cheap ass tcl when we bought our house, 2011 or so. Looks nothing like they do now. Still runs fine. Work bought me a 49” tcl Roku 4k last year and I love it- went and bought a 55” Roku 4k for upstairs. I’ve had nothing but great experiences from them.

Hisense, though- one and done. Maybe I had a bad one but it sucked bad. Immediately returned it.

Edit- main difference between the tcl and your Samsung is the tcl is 4k and likely much lighter than your Samsung. I have a Samsung 1080p from when ps3 came out. Hooked up on the wall behind the bar in the basement. Still runs great and has awesome legacy ports- I have a SNES hooked up to it.

$10 is the right price for Orba Dinn although I was in no way disappointed paying full price day one. There's not much out there quite like it. I guess you could kind of lean into it's a "walking sim" but ha as AWP said "First person clue" sure I can go with that. I think it's a decent Halloweenie game, it's got nice creep factor but not a jump scare thing.

It is in no way a "walking sim" unless you consider every game with walking that type of game. It's a puzzle detective game.

Hey, at least you'll have FF8 forever now. It was one of my favorite FF games.  I have fond memories of eating olives, drinking cheap beer and playing Triple Triad (I was almost 21 at the time). Speaking of which, some of my best and worst purchases were made while drunk. No regrets.

I love UnderMine too. I'm to the point in the game where a single play get's me glued to the TV for several hours, so I have to save it for when I have more free time.

I've never heard of this model (55S20) so it's likely a Walmart-specific part number.  Whether it's a relabel of the 55S425 (price seems rather low for that) or something else entirely is unclear.  So I can't give you any specific info but at this price you can expect a barebones 4K TV with no HDR to speak of.  As long as you are cool with that it may be a great deal, but there's really no info out there right now.

The description mentions HDR, I think I’ll try to get one, if it doesn’t look very good then I’ll use it in my bedroom and get something else for my living room.

Nearly all 4K TVs claim to have HDR, but the ones at the lowest price points are all lying for any practical purpose - they can't achieve brightness levels anywhere near what you need for HDR.  The TCL 6-series are about the lowest priced sets out there with real HDR.

That makes sense. I pretty much play games after 9pm when my kids are sleeping so a dark tv might be okay.

Yes you do. You just walk with a button click instead of a joystick.

I guess this opens up the questionnaire as to what defines a Walking-Sim versus a Point-and-Click Adventure versus a Puzzle Game.  Go ahead and cast your vote or reply with how you'd define them.

  • Sam & Max Save the World
  • Sam and Max Beyond Time
  • Monkey Island: Special Edition
  • Monkey Island 2: LeChuck's Revenge
  • Return of the Obra Dinn
  • Firewatch
  • Pneuma: Breath of Life
  • OXENFREE
  • Gone Home

Ladies and gentlemen, place your bets

I predict a mediocre sale with lots of repeat items!
