What a nightmare. I decided on just getting 2 Series X controllers, Robot White and Shock Blue. I have $158.53 in my Microsoft account, $124 which is expiring tomorrow. When I place the order, yellow message up top tells me the order can't be placed. After 1 hour, I get on chat and they tell me then can try on their end. I tell them I need to on mine because I will be getting cash back with befrugal. He tells me to call account and billing. So I get on the phone and explain the situation to the guy and he tries to help but then says I will need to be transferred to accounts and billing, as I am on hold, I try the order again and it now says there are not enough funds in the microsoft account and to add more. The order comes to $125.60 so there's $32 left over so I definitely have enough. He comes back and I tell him the new error message and so he says the billing will take care of it. He transfers me and after pushing some buttons, I get 20 min of silence and then the call disconnects.
I call back and explain what happened and to please transfer me to accounts and billing, this time, a pre recorded voice tells me office hours are 6 am to 10pm PST and that it's closed and hangs up on me. HUH? I called at 4:45 PST so they were open for another 5 hours. I call back again and explain the situation and she tells me she doesn't know why people are transferring me there because they are getting that message when they call them too so they must have changed their hours but she says she can help. After going through explaining again, and having to give her my email again( I had to spell it out to her 3 times before she understood, not her fault just the language barrier), she says she sees my account and that I have enough to cover the controllers so she has to figure out what is going on. She comes back and says she can try on her end but can't find befrugal cash back so she can't give any discount and I told her at this point I don't care just try.
She then comes back a couple of minutes later and says the reason it's not working is because the points expired. HUH? I told her they expire tomorrow and even if they did expire today, the day is not over. I told her I have an email from microsoft telling me the points expire on the 27th. I also ask how the points can just expire while I am on the phone with her. She says she needs to get in touch with xbox.com and puts me on hold again. She comes back and tells me they are closed and she will call me back tomorrow and emailed me a reference number with her name. So now I will wait for a call back tomorrow.
Has anyone else had this happen to them? Credit just disappearing early? The order screen clearly shows I have $158.53 Microsoft credit yet the system says I don't have enough. Very frustrating.
