I think MS cancelled good sales tonight because they had inside knowledge that Clemson was going to lose. Can’t celebrate that shit. ;)

I haven't, but for $1.99?  Might be a pre-Game Pass sale.  Was $6.99 back in July and May, $7.49 last February.

I don't know why I didn't even think of that. Was surprised to see it at a deeper discount than what it usually is on sale even on switch. Do they do random addition announcements or just close to a new month like GwG? Never paid attention to when those were posted. May pick it up next monday since it's so cheap. If it were a $20 game that I bought and it ended up on gamepass it would be more of a bummer than $2.

So Anna Williams and Negan are part of the $30 Tekken 7 season pass 2 that doesn't go on sale but one can buy them separately at $2,99 a piece? Bastards. Thank goodness the base game is hitting Game Pass on Thursday.

So what you're saying is...

And I beat the Titanfall 2 campaign last night. I Don't understand a damn bit of storyline in that game and when the end credits rolled I was legit shocked there were that many different characters, but man I can't wait to play Jedi Fallen Order when it gets cheap after playing that.

Apparently Sony is skipping E3 again despite PS5 launching this year. June is going to be very interesting.

Sony is dumb, always has been. There’s other memory devices out there, let’s have the psp and vita use proprietary memory devices. Fuck copying or following an industry standard and being consumer friendly, we’re too big for that shit. They’re lucky Blu-ray won and wasn’t another beta max. E3 is a consumer directed show, just go and interact with your consumers.

And another Square Enix title has been delayed: Avengers is now going from mid May all the way to early September.

I think I'll pick up Cel Damage HD for $2.24

I remember having a lot of fun with that back on the Dreamcast.

I Mean, it's only been a consumer directed show for the past two years or so and even then they do a shit job at organizing that. It's been primarily a journalist. media people and investor directed show, but with the internet that's dying more and more. Plus Sony has that annual press conference they do where they occasionally have it shown in theaters with free crap given away. They also have their Nintendo Direct kinda presentations now, which serve just as much purpose as any E3 presentation, but millions of dollars cheaper. That's much more consumer friendly than just watching or hearing about people in the press being given free crap. Really, E3 has no use outside of name association and serves no purpose.

There's something to be said for supporting your industry and being a part of "the show" (and I don't mean E3 specifically).  When a company decides they want snub the industry standards that so many others rely on and/or appreciate, it seems like it hurts goodwill - especially if those people are your developers, publishers, fanbase, and consumers.  It's true that a large portion of consumers may not care or notice, but some will notice and care - especially if Sony doesn't have a compelling next-gen offering.

That last part is really the only make or break thing here. I don't attend E3. I assume most people here complaining about Sony not being at E3 don't attend E3. The only thing that is going to matter in the end is whether they have a good product and how well it stacks up against competitors. And there's other ways to tell the world about your product than by being at E3.

I sincerely doubt not being at E3 will lose them an amount of sales that anyone would consider significant enough to notice or care about. Also, I sincerely doubt that those lost sales will even come close to the amount that it costs to put on a presentation at E3.

E3 is definitely more interesting if Sony is there, so it's a bit of a bummer in that respect. They've had some pretty great moments, factual or not in regards to the Xbox One drm the "Here's how you share games on the PS4" was quite a boom for them. I'm old enough to remember when it was the Saturn and PS1 and them going on stage an announcing the PS1 price was $299, pretty much killing the Saturn right there.

I hope Microsoft pulls out and E3 dies off. Just announce stuff as it’s ready and then we don’t have to do that stupid who won E3 thing every year.

Seems I’m in the minority on this one. To me e3 is the wrestle mania/ super bowl of video games. It’s the big event to get excited about whether you are just an avid gamer or so deep in it you post on a message board about cheap games. It draws main stream attention from outlets that dont normally mention gaming and thankfully in a positive manner. Smaller more focused events don’t have that same appeal. I don’t care for Sony for products but without them it makes the big show just not as big.

Now that Avengers has been delayed til September, it makes the decision to pre-order easier... I can definitely wait for the Black Friday discounts since my Sept/Oct months are too busy for much gaming.

Like some of said, it’s importance has diminished. It was a big deal but it got bloated as internet media grew. I’m sure some of my opinion is nostalgic but I thought it was more exciting before then. While it’s nice to have more information from more sources, I don’t like how Kotaku, IGN and a few others dominate the flow. The conferences give the companies more of the spotlight and whether or not I don’t care for Sony, it will hurt E3.
My only complaint with the big conferences is how we still have “who won” crap. I hated it back in the snes and genesis days and still can’t stand it.

Jeff Gertsmann's sit-down interviews with Phil Spencer after the Xbox media presser are the only reason I don't want E3 to go away. Those are amazing.

YMMV but looks like some Best Buy's have the 65" TCL 6 series marked down to $500 in-store, plus you get an extra 15% off with this coupon for a total of $425. Great price:
https://slickdeals.n...99&d=1578941877

https://www.bestbuy....p?skuId=6204551

Looks like the deal was posted yesterday on SD but people confirmed today it's still working. Some people said it might show 699 but at register it dropped to 500.

My Best Buy didn't have any in stock but could've ordered one for me. At $500. And he has a pile of printed out TCL promo barcodes to scan for the 15% off. Hell of a deal. Very tempted to upgrade the bedroom TV, lol.

I wonder if those are the 6 series that's going to be getting the firmware update to allow for Variable Refresh Rates, would be nice. Haven't seen any concrete info since the initial announcement from TCL.

A bit off-topic but here it goes. My third MS Rewards account was suspended and I lost about $15 worth of points. The only stuff that I can think of that may have triggered it is:

Multiple accounts

Redeeming points for the same denomination Xbox space bucks ($3 each time)

Getting greedy with FIFA 20 punch card and completing it on each account.

Since I redeemed points on all three pretty much back-to-back, maybe they thought it was fraudulent activity(???)

Other than that I was super careful about not drawing attention to the fact that I had three accounts. I'm leaning toward not disputing it because my other two accounts are unscathed. On the other hand I read comments where people only have one MS Rewards account and a spouse or relative has one account and both have been suspended when redeeming points for GC or XB space bucks or simply buying stuff.

I just had a suspension not too long ago when I was trying to redeem for a GC and from using three accounts and they made me close the other two but reactivated the one which is my main that my xbox account and all its purchases are tied too. It took about a week for them to get it straightened out I would probably leave it go I guess unless that account was your main one. Stinks to lose that $15 though

The third account is one I started late last year so I'm not going to dispute it. It's not worth the headache and drawing attention to my main and secondary accounts which I've had for several years. Stings a bit losing out on the $15 in points, oh well.

def don't bring human attention to it

take your losses from whatever auto slam you got and stay away from people taking a look at your activity manually
