I've never cared about playing on easy. It's not like anybody is going to know what difficulty you played the game at anyway. I'd rather play on easy and get to enjoy the entire game, than play on hard and break my controller.

Fable is the worst kept secret in gaming, I wonder if they were going to show it around March before Covid hit. We shall see in July. I'm not even a big Fable fan, but Playground could make an impressive world for sure.

Covid is about the best thing that could happen for Microsoft. There was no big E3 push, all these digital events have been shit. All MS had to to was sit back, grab a late summer timeslot, and drop it all in one day. It's almost guaranteed they drop the hammer in July

Well, at least we aren’t the PSN thread. People are really going at each other over the politics of The Last of Us 2. Yikes.

It’s ridiculous.

I'll buy it when it's $10.

The thing I hate about easy difficulty is how EVERY single game that has it, always has the ending, "Thanks for playing, you get nothing. Now try to play on an actual challenging difficulty to see the actual ending!"

Lots of 76 tips

For some reason, I always thought up on the d-pad was all those ways to communicate with other people. I have hotkeyed my weapons and I see that you can also hotkey food and drinks too.

I hope they continue to update and fix any major bugs. I am not really into building up camps and just did it to get a quest from an NPC. She asked me to set up a guitar at a camp and now I am doing quests for her. I am not into the multiplayer aspect of the game. Want to keep it as solo as possible. I've just never been a big online gamer. I might check out the Atom shop soon as I have 1000 now. I am sure some stuff will be useful to me.
I am completing missions I didn't even know I was in which is nice. I have no idea why my guy is so hungry and thirsty. Has it always been like this? A whole steak should keep me fed for hours. Same goes for a drink. I have no idea why I am constantly needing to drink and be fed. Annoying.
I think pacifist is on by default but I will double check. I do take over workshops because I get experience points but if someone ever started shooting at me, I would just run away. I also found out that it doesn't cost any caps to fast travel to my camp so that's good to know. As usual, I have so many weapons and junk stashed away. I have found level 25 weapons so that's cool that you can at least pick them up and save them for when you are the right level.
I am not liking the new weapons repair system. You need a kit now. I liked just being able to repair weapons based on skill. Oh well. I also doing like the new lockpick system. I am still on level 1 and run into plenty of 2 or 3 doors and safes. Trying to remember where all those are and coming back to them will be impossible. There should be a marker I can place for all safes and doors I can't get into. Bad game design IMO.
I'm still trying to figure out where I can find all these daily things I need to kill. One of them was some honey creature that I had no idea where to find. I am sure there is an in game option I am missing. I sometimes have to turn off certain quests to see where I am going because it's not as obvious as previous Fallout games. I just flat out can't find them until I turn off all quests accept that one. Maybe they can make that easier too. Anyway, time to play 76.

*edit* I just got disconnected from the server. I was at a terminal inside of the airport and it kept telling me the controls were disabled because of server issues. After like 5 minutes it just disconnected me from the server. Does this happen often? I don't know when it saved last but I hope I don't have to do that whole thing all over again.

Back then there were some games that if you played them on easy, you didn't get to play all the levels or you get a bad ending. Because of this I always play games on normal even though it doesn't matter anymore.

Same. Unfortunately I don't have time to play through games twice so usually go with normal to not miss stuff I guess.

I remember in Battletoads and Double Dragon SNES, if you put in a cheat code you would get a bad ending and they would say something on the screen calling you a cheater. I think it was the same with Pirates of Darkwater SNES on easy.

Me too. I don’t enjoy playing as complete d-bags so GTA never appealed to me except for Vice City. I find the juvenile humor to be so much fun and the tone is much more ridiculous in an excellent way. Saints Row the Third is one of the best games ever.

After my kid was born when I was 35, I just didnt have time to replay the same thing over and over. Easy is just fine for me. I only want a good story. Witcher 3 on easy was still challenging but not overly insane. Im 42 and Id rather spend the little time I get to play doing things.

As I got older, roguelikes became my favorite genre.  There's no easy mode with a game that's random every time.  And if you die, it's usually your own fault.

What does this mean?

Kayfabe pretty much just means you stay acting like whatever character you are playing.
When wrestlers go against their character or stop acting, it's called breaking kayfabe. Triple H is pretty famous for doing it with a little kid that was crying. Mean badboy Triple H consoling a crying child is a real moment so he was breaking his character.

It means he's playing the part of the corporate stooge and saying these Twitter accounts aren't indicative of new games in development.

Yo, I know GameStop is an evil company that removes instruction manuals and covers and uses them to light children on fire or whatever, but holy Fuck their B1G1 or B2G2 sales are so damn good. That and since I've gotten so used to digital, I no longer care as much if complete.

I always play games on Easy to get my money's worth. I'll enjoy any campaign for its story first, then play on a higher difficulty to get more enjoyment out of it to see what was and wasn't changed.

I still say the easiest setting on the first Gears of War is hard compared to the other Gears games.

Does no one worry about a game being too easy? I almost always play at normal first time because a game being boring is worse to me than if it's frustrating. Most games you can become better at to overcome a higher difficulty but if its too easy its just like why am I bothering with this. It's why game balance is so important to me when I rate the quality of a game. Some SP games are so imba it's like they never play tested them.

I think Casual on the first Gears was equal to Normal in the later games, where the Casual setting was easier still.  There were a number of tough stretches in that first game, particularly involving groups of Lambent Wretches.  Aside from those stretches, I think I had an easier time beating the first Gears on Insane than Hardcore because I kept a Longshot on me as much as possible.  The pumping station at the end of Act 3 really sticks out in my memory - the Therons were an absolute PITA on Hardcore with a Lancer and Gnasher, but much more manageable picking them off with the sniper.

If it’s way too easy where it’s boring, I’ll switch the difficulty. There’s also games I’ve played where a big difficulty spike hits and I’ll turn it down. I don’t want games to be in god mode but I don’t want to constantly reload throughout a game. It depends a lot on the game on where I set it.
