Not so much show feedback, but kind of a callback:
We recently had the house painted, and rather than reinstalling the old mailbox, we figured we'd order a nice new one. In the meantime, we put the old mailbox next to the front door.
My mailman just knocked on my door to tell me that he won't deliver my mail anymore until I raise the mailbox to the minimum height requirement - apparently letter carriers are not supposed to bend over.
Thought Cheapy would appreciate that he's not there only one whose mailman doesn't like their setup.

To be honest, Cheapy, I enjoy listening to you talk about ping pong. It's refreshing to hear your passion for ping pong and your commitment to getting better is great! I would rather listen to ping pong talk than Wombat's perpetual victimhood and virtue signaling.

What is "virtue signaling"?

Wombat, Wombat, Wombat...I feel your pain, dude. Don't give up on your health. I started using the Noom app after New Years. I've lost 12 lbs in 4 weeks, which is insane. I'm 46 and super motivated, and I know you can do it. It's a little expensive, I think about $250/year but they provide a lot more than other apps like MyFitnessPal. They have better calorie tracking, interesting quizzes that help identify your weak points, and a chat room for small groups (like 60 ppl) who started the program around the same time you did. I know it is super frustrating but give it a shot!! They have a 2 week trial.

RE: GameStop, I think a pivot to LAN cafe is interesting. They have to do SOMETHING and they can't be too conservative about it. There's probably a market for this. My son is 10 and wanted to play video games with his friends at my house and when 20 ten-year-olds showed up it was chaos. Game trucks are OK, but not everyone has room on their street and they are pretty expensive.

Good cast as usual! Hey Wombat, random question, but I’m considering getting a Switch and I don’t think I heard a final opinion from you on Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3.

Now that you’ve had time to put it through it’s paces how did it compare to the first two?

I can’t be alone feeling pretty uncomfortable listening to that episode. I had to turn it off by 20 minutes in.

All I have in my commute is this and the impeachment hearings on NPR, so I would really love to hear a chill episode next week.

I assume you mean the depression issues and what seems to be growing animosity? Yep. It’s hard to know how seriously to take anything when you don’t actually know the people on a podcast, but things don’t seem to be going well from the outside.

I bought Journey to the Savage Planet via expiring GCU preorder. Figured $24 wasn't bad and it's like the first new title of the year. No other game has put me to sleep in 10 to 15 minutes like it does. It definitely is pretty, but constantly scanning the stuff is slow and disorienting.

With all the podcast invite talk, I just want to take some credit for helping connect Liam and Cheapy together on twitter to have Cheapy on his Final Games Podcast episode 39. Give it a listen if you haven't already.

Eh. Polite counterpoint.

If Wombat ever takes any sort of moral high ground it's clearly in jest and acts as a counter to when Cheapy has either accidentally said something on the border of good taste, or is about to. It's half-serious at best but necessary for balance. It's a part of the dynamic that makes the show work, for both the types of folks that use a term like "virtue-signaling" as a pejorative, and people like me. Also a long-time show dynamic, both of them playfully poking each-other about the digital vs. Real life nature of their friendship. What one could call victim hood, some of us see someone being honest, vulnerable, and authentic. I relate to depressed Wombat just as much as I relate to Ship's Excel files and target runs. I don't relate to Cheapy, but I appreciate Cheapy.

PS. This is not show feedback, my run-on sentences allways suck on-air.

Regarding CAGcast #620: Bones House at the 57 minute mark, referring back to Wombat's discussion about no longer being able to use Kinect commands since they did away with the Kinect proprietary port on the Xbox One S and Xbox One X. I too was upset that Microsoft did this and the only option was to use a Kinect adapter that Microsoft offered for a limited time or even were given as a free adapter if you were one of the lucky ones upgrading from an OG Xbox One to an Xbox One S (limited time). But good news, I'm here to share that you can still currently use Voice Commands if you have an Alexa/Echo device and have the Xbox Skill enabled to use with it. Just wanted to share with you guys and the community of what can still be done now with voice commands with out having to use a Kinect anymore but be able to use the more available smart enabled devices we all now have in our homes. Thanks for the Great shows and I hope I was able to spread some good news and help those who still want to have those features of voice commands to use with their Xbox's.

With the Xbox Skill, you can use voice commands to power your Xbox One console, adjust volume, launch games and apps, start and stop broadcasts on Mixer, capture screenshots, and more. It’s the fastest way to get into your games and one of the easiest ways to interact with your console for everyday tasks.

Alexa Standard Commands For Xbox

For access to all the commands available for the Xbox Skill on Alexa, use the standard command structure, like this:

 • “Alexa, tell Xbox to pause”
 • “Alexa, tell Xbox to resume”
 • “Alexa, tell Xbox to turn up volume”
 • “Alexa, tell Xbox to turn volume down 5”
 • “Alexa, tell Xbox to turn off”
 • “Alexa, tell Xbox to launch Rocket League”
 • “Alexa, tell Xbox to launch Netflix”
 • “Alexa, tell Xbox to start broadcasting”
 • “Alexa, ask Xbox what I can say”

Both “Tell Xbox” and “Ask Xbox” work for standard commands.

Smart Home Commands For Xbox

Alexa smart home commands work for power, volume, and media controls. With smart home commands, you can drop the “Tell Xbox” or “Ask Xbox” portion, as in these examples:

 • “Alexa, pause Xbox”
 • “Alexa, resume on Xbox”
 • “Alexa, turn the Xbox volume up”
 • “Alexa, turn the volume down on Xbox”
 • “Alexa, turn off Xbox”

The default device name in the Alexa app’s Smart Home Devices section is “Xbox,” but smart home commands will work if you change the name to something else—“Living Room Xbox” or “Zach’s Xbox,” for example. This becomes important if you want to use Alexa with more than one Xbox. You can change the device name for your Xbox under Smart Home > Devices in the Alexa mobile app.

If you’ve recently used your Xbox One and there aren’t any other smart home devices paired with Alexa, you can drop the device name altogether, like this:

 • “Alexa, pause”
 • “Alexa, play”
 • “Alexa, resume”
 • “Alexa, skip forward”

Wombat, I don't think Cheapy put my feedback in last week to harp on you about your heath.  I think it genuinely comes from a good place, and he cares about you (he just doesn't get that most people are not into ping-pong :p)  Everyone's mental and physical health is different, and you always have to find what works for you.  Taking walks is great for your health (again mental and physical.) - especially if that is what you feel works for you.

Shit is tough man, I hope you can find what works for you.  Of all the members of this show, you are the most relatable for a lot of your listeners.  Keep playing games with the kids, enjoying gamepass, and telling us about your unique loot boxes that come in the mail.

And Shipwreck was awfully quiet during that discussion.

I’ve been to that Korean restaurant you were talking about on the show.  I recommend the chicken special.  It’s purrrfect!

Also in regards to the facebook neighborhood groups.  What a cesspool.   I hope facebook finds a way to die with the baby boomers.

I haven't listened to an episode in quite awhile, and a few minutes in I was reminded why I stopped. This is supposed to be a video game podcast. I understand some dialog and a few personal updates, I get that on most podcasts I listen too. However, enough with the political comments. I get enough of that already, I just want to listen to discussion about games! Its always one sided too, Cheapy and Wombat comment while Shipwreck keeps his mouth shut and lets them steer the show. Tired of the stereotypes too. Sorry guys, but I am done. I used to enjoy your show, what a shame. God Bless...
