With the recent Gamestop B2G2 sale, I got two copies of Professor Layton vs. Ace Attorney for 3DS. One works fine, but the other prompts me to name a save file and then boots me straight back to the main menu. It's unplayable.
My first guess was this game is counterfeit, but I can't find any results for fake 3DS games when I search google. Several sites mentioned a 3DS won't even boot up a counterfeit DS game, it'll just throw an error. If it is a fake, it's a really good one - it looks identical to the working copy.
So now I'm stumped. What could be going on here?
