Best Buy DotD 4/14: Nintendo Labo Kits 19.99

Thanks for posting...not into VR (in general) but I've been hoping to get the vehicle kit for $20 or less for a long time.   Already have the variety and robot kits.

Not sure if this would appeal to me. Anything a good buy for $20?

The Vehicle Kit is now sold out on bestbuy.com, but I snagged the other three kits. Thanks, OP!

When stuff gets marked as Sold Out on Best Buy’s website, does it ever come back and go in and out of stock? I definitely want to get the Vehicle kit but don’t want to be refreshing the page all day if there’s no chance of it coming back at the sale price.

Dang, the vehicle kit and VR pack were the only ones Id go for, but the former is sold out and the latter isn't discounted nearly as much..

Thanks for posting, missed out on Variety and Vehicle kits though, didn't expect them to sell out so quickly!

Have Labo kits ever been $20 previously? Or is the lowest its ever been?

Some have been lower in YMMV Walmart clearance deals, some as low as $8, but never for shipping right to your door. $12 extra to avoid a Walmart was a deal even before the current health crisis...

At these prices just buy and think later. My kid really loves the fishing game that came with the variety kit (the motorcycle is cool, but the game is too simple). I already had purchased some others for him but I took this opportunity to get him the rest.

Grabbed the VR kit. I've passed up every other one of these for less but lowest I've seen that one and the one I am most interested in.

Man these really tanked in price. My son had some fun with variety but the Robot kit never worked all that well though it's by far the most intensive build. For 20 bucks these are pretty great IMO though we're about to toss the cardboard which makes the game pretty useless.

I got every one except the VR kit for $9 each at Walmart last Fall. It was actually available at most Walmarts in the area (and was talked about in the Walmart clearance thread).

Are these like mini game collections that you just build cardboard to use with the game or can you play without the cardboard? I never really understood these, but @ $20 I'm thinking it's worth a shot just to give the kids something to do.

I forgot to visit CAG last night and now everything's sold out. I take it there's no chance of anything going back in stock before the day is up?

Yes, everything is essentially minigames/experiences. Nothing substantial. At the original pricetag, it could be difficult to swallow. At this price point, it's almost a no-brainer.

Early 2019 (if I remember correctly) the Variety and Robot Kits were at Target for like $19.99 and $17.99 respectively.   Grabbed them and was looking for the Vehicle kit but it was sold out everywhere.

I had basically given up hope of getting the Vehicle Kit for under $20 at this point until the OP listed this last night.

I doubt it. My store hasn't had more then 1 Labo kit in stock for months now which is probably why they completely sold out of them before the DotD email could even go out.

Similar here. I got the Robot and the Vehicle kit during that Target clearance, but I really wanted the Variety kit. Finally got today from this thread.

Gamestop has the full VR kit for shipping, but it's MSRP. Hard to justify the additional $60 over the VR starter kit deal for additional cardboard and rubber bands.

Nintendo sells the 2 VR kit add-ons that are missing from the VR starter for $20/ea, so it's smarter to pay $20 for the starter and than $40 more to pick up the 2 missing VR builds and get it for $60 total instead of $80.

Smarter still is to wait for GameStop to go out of business and buy the full VR kit it locally at their firesale.

Nintendo isn't selling physical stuff right now so you will have to wait to get those extra VR kits.

I had received the Walmart clearance of the VR kits a few months ago that were in store only.  The one with just the gun was $9.99 and the full kit was $29.99 so I bought both kits.  Both are still sealed for next Xmas.

Then I was able to get all the kits from Best Buy listed - bought 2 of everything.  One set for my son, the other set for my niece.  They will have so much to do now.....

btw these things keep the kids busy for hours.  The vehicle kit was the only one I gave my son at Xmas, and it took every weekend to put one device together, then play, usually used up a half of a saturday or sunday.  welll worth the $$ spent on these kits.

It's pretty common for a clearance game to go down for a daily deal and then back up before continuing to fall until it is "cleared" out. :p

I love how they bumped prices back up but kept the "Clearance" label :applause:
They had these marked at clearance before yesterday's sale with those same high prices. I'd been checking pretty consistently looking for a deal since my kid likes these sets and anything affordable to make the current situation easier on him is practically an instant buy.
