I knew it, glad I waited a few weeks! Can confirm comes with Steel Book Case for now!

And, in for one launch price match.  Even with my GCU discount (which is now sadly expired), this is a better deal.

I did mine about 7:30 am (local time) and was able to connect with an agent with about a ~10 minute wait. Another 5 minutes and she had the transaction updated and the partial refund issued.

Game + steelbook + $10 RWZ certificate for $40 out of pocket = win

Best Buy customer service fails again. The return period is still open on my order until 5/31, but because i pre-ordered in January the rep told me I can no longer price match. "The price match date ends based on the order date not delivery date." Ok, sure...

Good news - you can try again with a different representative. My preorder was made in early November 2019, right before my GCU expired, and I had no trouble with my rep. It sucks, but worth the time (which isn't much, considering I'm can multitask and continue to work from home).

 
Just got my price adjustment. I’m definitely glad that I preordered. $40 for Doom Eternal, Doom 64, a steel book and $10 rewards certificates is a pretty solid deal.

Once you place the order, does the steelbook show up on ur order details? Last time I ordered RE2 with steelbook, I had the game for store pick up but the steelbook wasn’t showing up on order details.
 
Just got back from picking mine up with the steelbook along with Jedi Fallen Order. It looks pretty good compared to some of the more recent Steelbook edition artwork.

It should show up in your cart when ordering right below the game(like pre-order DLC does). If it doesn't, there's a chance that the store might not have any of them.

The steelbook will be around for awhile. Every store in my area still has 20-50 of them.

Ended up trying throughout the whole day and finally got it. Rep was super cool and no questions asked

Idk I price matched last time so they placed the order for me. This was RE2 with steelbook but when I went to my order status it was nowhere to be found
 
Do want but having a hard time pressing order since the pre-order Classic Doom sounds aren't available outside the special edition.

It's not just Best Buy, it's all retail chains. Most employees aren't fully-informed about rules of operation and don't care. Some like to go on power trips and make up their own rules. Sometimes the customer knows more about store policy than the employee, but since you don't actually work there, what you know doesn't count.

If you didn't play Doom 2016 reboot, some things in this game might not make sense if you are following the story, but the story is so weak anyway.  The gameplay however, is pretty intense.  Single player in Nightmare mode is unrelenting.  It took me nearly a month to finish nightmare, with no cheat codes that I found along the way.  Also the little PC on your ship, do not try the second option that asks for a password.  Once you enter the password, the game crashes.  Its like an easter egg meant to have the much ancient doom / doom II but it seems like it's not part of the game yet....

also, not sure of other people, but matchmaking is very slow on the PC version to find matches....anyone else have issues?

I had ordered it way before I decided to go all digital, and I was planning on displaying the helmet in some fashion. Ended up buying the game digitally and never cancelled the BBY order since I had GCU when I placed it. To be honest, I forgot it was in my backseat and now I am outside of the return window by over a month lol

 
Forgot about extended return window. Chat wait is 40 minutes right now, ugh. Well, is my $16 worth the wait. . .
