Super Monkey Ball heat shrinked wrapped?

I know this forum is dead, but hopefully someone can answer this. I have a Super Monkey Ball Players Choice that is heat shrink wrapped instead of having the y-fold seals. Every new SMB I see on ebay has the y-folds. Is the one I have resealed, or did some Gamecube games come heat wrapped? I don't remember where I got the game as it has been over a decade, but most likely at a store. But we know some stores can reseal.

A lot of GameCube games mostly 3rd party came heat wrapped, I can't remember the specific game but there was an EA game I bought that had the heat wrap and actually had the EA logo printed on the bottom of the wrap to show it was factory sealed.

It's unfortunate Nintendo didn't use security seals like Microsoft does and how Sony used to.
