Gears 5 $9.99 Amazon/Best Buy

Correct me if I'm wrong, but this game keeps dropping in price every week by $5. 1st it was $24.99, then $19.99, then $14.99 and now $9.99.

As a first party Microsoft title this will likely stay on Game Pass.  It's $10 too much if you have Game Pass w/ Gears 5 Ultimate Edition.

I guess but my point was that some games leave Game Pass (like Shadow of the Tomb Raider) and this game along with all other Gears games probably won't. There have been deals on Game Pass that a lot of people have taken advantage of so for them buying the standard game when they already own the ultimate edition only makes sense if they like the cover art on the box.

Doing a cheap pc trial of gamepass > owning this game (value wise).

I did a trial of gamepass on PC for I think it was less than $4 per month for 3 months? Played gears 5, forza horizon, sunset overdrive, metro exodus ("open world" claims another IP and dooms it to mediocrity) & outer worlds, then promptly unsubbed when the trial period was over.

MS's strategy is wildly nonsensical to me lol. I have had no desire to resub either.

I think sales like this and the Sony one were planned long before E3 was canceled.

 
So I ordered this and ori on the 17th. They never shipped it and after spending over 8 hours today on chat and phone I finally got a refund. I used a certificate to pay and they only gave me like half the points back so i had to call again. Any advice on what to do. After making contact five times i got all my money back and the certificate. I honestly hate bestbuy now though. Has anyone ever called corporate to complain? What was your experience like?

It shouldnt take all day to resolve a forty dollar purchase....
