This coming console generation is in a super weird place. Nintendo is doing their own thing and has been for years now. Sony is the only one competing in a hardware race. Microsoft doesn't care if you buy their hardware as long as you are in their ecosystem. The showcase was for Gamepass not Series X.

When people ask what console to buy, i honestly can't recommend either. Sony and Microsoft has shown nothing from their new systems. Well Sony did show off Ratchet and Clank. Every other game seems to be hampered by the former generation of consoles (XB1,PS4).

Halo could maybe have been different if Microsoft completely removed the restriction of it also having to run on XB1, and purely made it a Series X game.

Guess we will start seeing bigger leaps in a few years when they completely drop the old systems.

Does Shipwreck have any interest in the Analogue Pocket? If he buys it, can we get a hardware review?

After the XBOX showcase, I feel like XBOX made a weird case for me to GET a PS5.

I've been in the XBOX ecosystem for the last 2 generations. I wasn't even considering getting a PS5... until the XBOX Showcase. XBOX made it clear that all their new games are going to work on the XBOX I already own for the next few years. There's something about that that does not get me excited. It feels like upgrading my iphone, always kind of anticlimatic. What's my incentive to buy an XSX? Am I the only one feeling this way?
