Death Stranding (PS4) $17.99 Bestbuy

Deal of the Day.

I paired it with the Watchmen HBO series Bluray -- which is also on sale -- to get free shipping.

So cheap but it just does not look interesting to me. My days of buying unnecessary games and rushing to complete them because of my overwhelming backlog are slowing down.

Haven't been following the game so I was wondering if a complete edition is likely to be released or is this it as far as physical is concerned?

some parts of the game pisses me off. play it online, makes the game easier.
I mean the game is designed to be played online. While I'm sure it's definitely possible to play offline I wouldn't recommend.

I absolutely loved this game and would say at the price it's a no brainer but a lot of people are split. Lots of people hate it. I'd say anyone remotely interested though it's definitely worth checking out. The middle of the game drags on a bit long, once you hit the mountain region and I know that's the falling off point for many, but the ending is great and I just really think the game is worth a go. It was very addictive to me

Tempting. With my backlog, I think I'll wait for BF and see if I can catch a better deal.

I've got plenty to keep me busy. Shit, I just started Witcher 3 last week. It may take until BF to finish.

I want to get it but at the same time I don't. Will it be cheaper by Black Friday? Who knows. This price is very tempting but I also have a backlog to take care of. Hhmm.... decisions, decisions.

I ignored this game at first, cancelled a preorder cause it looked stupid and boing.  Recently finished it.  Easily one of my favorite games I've played this year.  Insane how good the weird story became to me.

I've heard the story is really good but how's the actual gameplay? I've been told it's an advanced walking simulator and gets old fast.

I really couldn't get pass how boring the quest are. I'm sure there is some entertainment in it but just delivering packages isn't a fun gameplay mechanic. It's a game I'd enjoy watching others play but I couldn't finish it myself.

I liked it.  Overall good but not great.  Initially played on ps4 pro, sold the disc, and am now waiting for the pc version to be this cheap.

Gameplay starts very dull on foot.  I really don't blame players for putting it down.  I found the stealth sequences to be pretty creative and interesting, though.

I beared though the inital tedium and was glad I endured it.  Once you're building roads and (even better) zipline chains, it starts to feel like one of the better customize-able open-world experiences to date.

In my view the plot was a trying-too-hard-to-be-weird story with logic that completely unravels toward the end.  Still, there are some nice and impactful moments of storytelling.  Some solid VA performances.  Characters are a mix of good and poor.

Certainly worth

I really need to start it. I picked it up shortly after it came out for fairly cheap, but not nearly this good of a deal. I don't think it will get much cheaper than this by Black Friday I would guess $15-$20 for Death Stranding.

Honestly a boring game to watch people play. If it happens to be your cup of tea, it can be quite addicting. I easily put at least 150 hours in that game. Once you get access to zip lines, exoskeleton, it becomes a breeze but I feel like I’m cheating when I do that so I just make a bunch of zip lines, ladders, etc for other people. It just feels good to help out others while ur helping urself. Also getting likes is satisfying too. It’s like social media if u like that stuff lol. It was my 2019 goty. Just an opinion chill out. This is better than fedex, ups, and usps combined

Certainly worth <$20.
I have been eyeing those nvidia pc Death Stranding codes on ebay. Works if you own RTX 2060, 2070 and 2080. They have been going for around $20ish. I am totally curious to play this game but not completely sold on it.....hmmmm

You are a delivery man 100%, yet somehow it never felt like endless boring fetch quests.
If the story doesn't get you after a few hours, then you'll probably be bored. I almost quit, but stuck with it long enough that it finally hooked me.

This is pretty accurate. Took a bit for it to hook me, but I really enjoyed this game after a few reddit lists helped me understand mechanics I was missing. Made it way more fun, but I could eaaily see people not getting into it.
