GamersGate Deals

GamersGate

Official Representative
Hey, CAG!

We've finally decided to make things permanent between us and this is going to be the main thread for all of our deals, we're not going to spam the deals page constantly anymore, hooray!

We're starting off strong with a big Ubisoft Sale with such quadruple A titles as Uno! But seriously, it has the Anno games, the Far Cry series and some largely forgotten older titles such as Driver or Brothers in Arms.

If you're a F2P player in Destiny 2, you might want to check out the Destiny DLC Sale with Forsaken and Shadowkeep!

If you're feeling like modern games lack the understading of what an arena shooter is, the Unreal Sale may help you out with the Unreal Deal Pack in particular containing everything you'd ever want

Finally, Dying Light: Enhanced Edition, Kenshi and Stalker Collection are all excellent choices albeit they're not best ever in terms of price. But God knows all of those three titles will get you a ton of bang for your buck!

As always, we'll update the thread with new deals soon, but if we've missed one and you'd like to share it or discuss a title - please, we'll be happy to hear from you!

Unreal series.

Unreal series is classic old-school shooter. Must play stuff, if you are tired or need a break from modern-style shooters. I don't really think U1 or U2 are that much of an arena shooter in the single-player campaign modes as they're more classics in style (especially U1), unless doing the MP portions. Unreal Tournament and the MP-focused stuff certainly are arena-style - and back in the day, were an absolute blast.

STALKER series.

Without any mods: tough as nails, even on easy. Absolute blast of a game. Absolutely memorable; atmospheric as can be; creepy as hell & scary (and I often don't scared at these kind of games); and one of those early FPS's that I think pioneered & championed the open-world experience for a FPS. Though, Boiling Point: Road To Hell (AKA Xenus 1 - starring Arnold Vosloo of Mummy series fame; and man do I love that game's theme) was probably first and had more RPG elements in there (as you have stats and stuff of that sort). Regardless, STALKER series is great and certainly felt like it was fresh and one of a kind when it came out. A must-play series, for open-world FPS fans and fans that want something that's tough as nails.

For me - STALKER: SOC and Call of Pripyat are the best ones in the series. SOC (Shadow of Chernobyl) felt fresh as can be and so new when it came out; Call of Pripyat felt like a much more polished experience than any of the others. Sure, Clear Sky is good b/c it's more STALKER: SOC - but it felt like it rehashed, remixed, and whatnot lots of maps, areas, and assets from SOC; and some of the new ideas here (i.e. Faction Wars) and the engine felt half-baked and/or unpolished. Still, don't write Clear Sky off - it feels more like an expansion than anything; and it's still good being that it's more STALKER.

Far Cry series.

Where to begin? A very consistent series.

Starting w/ Far Cry 1 from Crytek, absolutely revolutionary game engine and FPS at that time - feels like the precursor to the eventual open-world FPS's that came afterwards. With huge open-spaced maps & not-entirely always linear levels to battle in and go through; and looked great when it came out. Story was nothing special, but the game was.

With Crytek gone (off to go do Crysis with EA), Ubi made Far Cry 2, which followed in the footsteps of other open-world FPS's like STALKER series and Xenus/Boiling Point series - which was good, but didn't feel like it was entirely there yet. Too many cut & paste side-quests, which was also a problem especially in AC1 - i.e. the common Ubi problem. It was disappointing to me, but still good...and having the potential to become great.

Enter Far Cry 3. To me, still the best one in the series; and the formula that most FC games follow. Open-world FPS; lots of variety in side-quests; and an amazing villain. Michael Mando (Nacho from Better Call Saul) is amazing and iconic in this role, as the crazed pirate. To me, this was FC series at its best. Sure, FC4 is really good; has a great villain in Pagan Min (played by Troy Baker); and is probably more polished than FC3 - but it's more FC3 but in Kyrat (i.e. their version of India). It just didn't have the magic that FC3 did and the fresh-ness FC3 has. Yes, FC5 is really good also and also has a cool villain (Joseph Seed, played by Gregory Michael Bryk).

Dying Light.

Did you like Dead Island? Dying Light is that, but better. Dead Island was basically an open-world first-person action/ARPG; it was mostly focused on melee. Basically, this is Dead Island and much more improved w/ polish and new features. With day & night cycles; better feeling combat; polish; and parkour elements - it feels like a more urban Dead Island. And it's awesome.

And, I need to finish it, at some point.

No super special deals at the start of this week, but if you've been waiting for a discount on those games, they are decent, just nothing special:

-Kalypso has Tropico 6 with a 40% discount

-Codemasters are great if you're into racing games, such as F1 or DiRT

-THQ Nordic is interesting, you can get Titan Quest Anniversary Editions and its DLC, as well as the Risen trilogy

-PQUBE has some fun anime games, such as Gal*Gun 2, Cat Quest, Punch Line and others

If you spot an lower profile indie with a good price - let us know! We want to promote lesser-known games as well!

THQ Nordic stuff.

I've always been a fan of the Gothic and Risen series. Namely, the ones Piranha Bytes developed - i.e. Gothic 1+2+3; and Risen 1+2+3.

Gothic series.

I loved Gothic 1 back in the day (it felt ground-breaking back then when NPC's on their own schedules and interacting w/ the environment and NPC's; and with full fledged voice-acting in an action-packed and choice-important RPG); really liked Gothic 2; like Gothic 3 despite its technical problems back then (it runs better now on newer hardware and w/ newer official patches & community patches installed). Quick-save like crazy, b/c you never know when you'll make a decision and think you should re-do that; and/or run into a mob that is hard-coded and out-leveling you by a mile just from taking one "wrong turn" on the game-world/map.

Risen series.

I really enjoyed Risen 1 and think it's their best game since Gothic 1. Risen 2's quite good, though its control scheme takes some time to get used to and regular magic is gone & replaced with voodoo magic (I wish it had both magics, TBH - but Risen 3 fixes that). Risen 3's good - it's basically more Risen 2 remixed and rehashed, but also with some actual traditional magic too. But still, Risen 3's good and bought dirt-cheap like it is now ($5.00), treat it like it really is: a stand-alone expansion.

Titan Quest.

Titan Quest is basically a Diablo clone, but instead with Greek Mythology and a different class/skill system. If that sounds good to you, it's one of the best Diablo-style clones (isometric looter-ARPG's) out there - along with say Torchlight 1 and 2. I have played TQ: Gold/Anniversary, but haven't got around to buying Atlantis and Ragnarok.

OGRE (-85% | $3.75) - has nothing to do with Shrek, but it's at historical low

Long time no see!

We currently have a Resident Evil 3 sale where the game is at a pretty darn good 50% off. We'd like to sweeten the deal and throw in another 7% with promo code "RE3-C", making the end price $27.09 / €27.09 / £23.25

Our Far Cry Sale has all of the Far Cry games to date, including the older ones and small bundles with FC5 + New Dawn

The THQ Nordic prices are great, with special mentions to Quantum Break and Desperados III Deluxe Edition which is at the best-ever price point

Finally, Out of the Park Baseball 21 is at the best-ever price point as well, it's a niche title, but great nonetheless

Here are two deals that have great value to help you get through the rest of this God-forsaken year:

The Ubisoft Sale doesn't have the usual Assassin's Creed, but instead features Prince of Persia, Rocksmith 2014 Remastered, For Honor, Brothers in Arms and some more less-known litles

The Unreal Sale is an old faithful, you can't go wrong with picking up a classic UT 2004 + Gold + 2 + 3 Black + GOTY Edition for measly $3.00.

We're having a Halloween sale! You can check out all of our new deals here: gamersgate.com/offers

But there are three that we'd like to highlight:

Capcom Sale has a few historical lows (according to ITAD): RE2 for US, MHW: Iceborne Master Edition and more! Overall a great deal, check it out.

Assassin's Creed Sale doesn't have any best-ever prices, but it's just a solid discount for a great game series (regardless of what you think about the most recent installations).

Finally, the Rebellion games might not be as well-known as RE or AC, but they're pretty darn fun, especially Strange Brigade.

Hi, CAG!

If you want to see all of our current deals (there are a lot of great ones there!), check them out here.

So, Gamersgate's Page looks totally updated and modern. Looks much slicker.

I'm going to miss the old Points stuff and My Games Shelf though. :(

My Games Library looks majorly revamped. Slick looking, but...not all my titles are showing there.

Some games - like Sacred 2 Gold Edition (DRM-FREE version) - ain't even showing here, for some reason.

I can see them though from My Purchase section though (everything's in there!) and looks like I can download my DRM-FREE game there (as there's a DRM-FREE button there).

Can't see my copy of Sims 3: Showtime in the My Games Section either.

Stuff you can't see on your own My Games Section - check your My Purchases section. They're all in there, over there - even S2: Gold and Sims 3: Showtime.

Why hello there, CheapAss!

It's been a hot minute, hasn't it. Alas, we are back and ready to send out our deals. This weekend, why not indulge in some Warhammer, for instance? There've been a few incredible games announced recently (a 40k CRPG? Sign us up!), and we have some huge discounts on the ones that are already out:

Focus have decent discounts on Necromunda: Hired Gun (-50%) and Battlefleet Gothic: Armada 2 (-70%)

Also worth mentioning are Warhammer: Vermintide 2 (-84%) and Warhammer 40,000: Mechanicus (-84%), both excellent titles, with the latter also having the best goddamn OST of all time. The entire Warhammer Skulls catalogue can be found here and all of the deals there expire on June 8th

We also have a fantastic price on Everybody’s Gone to the Rapture, which us 57% off for the first time in a while (Ends June 8th)

Finally, we’d be remiss not to recommend Annapurna’s games - Outer Wilds, 12 Minutes, The Artful Escape and, quite frankly, their entire selection. Incredible games with decent discounts that end on June 10th.

That’s it, gamers, hope you have a good weekend ahead of you!

Hope you all had a nice weekend! We are back with the start of our Summer Sale, hope you enjoy our selection of deals:

First and foremost, it’s THQ. Best official prices across the board on Biomutant (-67%), SpongeBob (-67%), SpellForce 3 Reforced (-75%), Wreckfest (-60%), Destroy All Humans (-67%) & more, absolute hit of the Summer Sale already:

Kenshi, the unapologetic masterpiece, is 45% off until June 12th. It’s great and it sells well, especially at this price! Also, SsethTzeentach has an awesome video on it, check it out if you're into that kind of content.

Surprisingly enough, Green Hell has been rising in popularity lately on GG and is now 40% off until June 12th. Great survival game, like it a lot.

There’s a massive, multi-link Aspyr sale that just started as well (all end on June 12th):

-Aspyr Originals have great prices on Ghostbusters: The Video Game Remastered and Fahrenheit Indigo Prophecy Remastered!

A great price on Stronghold Warlords (-75%), once again, a historical low for the US! Not the best game in the series, according to the reviews, but could be very interesting at this price point (ends June 19th).

A few great Rebellion games are on sale as well, most notably Sniper Ghost Warrior Contracts 2 (-50%) and the good old Sniper Elite 4 (-88%) until June 19th!

Hi there,

Here's a list of the best deals on GamersGate right now!

The popular multiplayer medieval combat game For Honor is having a free week event, and we celebrate it with a discount of 85% on the base game. The Marching Fire expansion and all different editions (including the Complete Edition) are on sale too, all until Aug 4th.

Stronghold: Warlords, the newest installment in Firefly's iconic medieval castle management and real-time strategy sim, is once more at its peak discount: 75% off. Earlier titles of the series are on sale as well, all until Aug 3rd.

My Time At Sandrock is a beautiful cozy sim with elements of farming, building, gathering, socializing, marriage, and more that has recently entered Early Access. It's made by the same people who created the indie top-hit My Time at Portia and uses similar but refined gameplay, but in a new town with a new story and characters. We are offering it at 25% off in a 24-hour flash sale, ending today at 11pm GMT.

The Dungeon Of Naheulbeuk: The Amulet Of Chaos is a very funny tactical RPG where you guide clumsy, inexperienced and feisty heroes through fights and to the treasure. We are now able to offer it for a new historical low price at 70% off, until Aug 7th.
