They also have some very scary terms about the retention/use of your data including what the inside out cameras and microphones pick up during your use of the headset.

I was going to buy it until I found out a facebook account is required. There are some of us that don’t ever want a Facebook.

Why is everyone so paranoid on what may see or hear on a VR headset. If really that worried then need to be with your Android or iPhone cell. They have cameras and mics that are much better than on any VR headset. If concerned about information going out, read your terms on Apple, Google, Microsoft OS and even your apps. They say may use your information for marketing, research and other issues. That's the concern should have, since most people's cells go everywhere including when sitting on the toilet texting or playing games.

I mean, at this point.. who doesn't have a few burner Facebook / Linkedin / etc accounts to use for crap like this? Google Voice number with corresponding area code of someone else in this nation with a similar name as yourself! 

The real question is, can this Quest 2 play high bitrate VR porn over the network without stuttering!!!
