Moero Crystal H is a turn-based dungeon crawling monster collecting RPG.  Except the monsters are anime girls.  Over 80 of them.

The premise: the Bra of Darkness and the Panties of Light are ancient artifacts that keep the world from falling into Armageddon.  The Bra of Darkness has been stolen and now a rift has opened in the sky, threatening the end of the world.  The Bra of Darkness has also turned monster girls bad, and it's up to you to battle them into submission and put the Panties of Light on them in order to lift the curse.

The game play:  The RPG side is fairly deep but doesn't tread any new ground.  Enter a dungeon, map the floor, find some items, fight some monsters, descend to the next floor, difficulty increases, rinse, repeat.  Much like Pokemon, the player character doesn't fight, but you support and command your monster girls.  What makes the game distinctly lewd and different is that each round you can "store" your desire, and at the appropriate time you can "unleash" it onto one of your girls to enhance their abilities.  Don't wait too long though, or you won't be able to do it again for a while.

Seriously.

Once you encounter a monster girl who is under the spell of the Bra of Darkness, you can attempt to capture them by aiming your attacks at their clothes.  Once their clothes are destroyed, you can use the touch screen to rub the monster girls, succeed in finding their weak spots and they will submit, allowing you to use the Panties of Light and win them over to your side.

Yes, seriously.

When you're not in the dungeons, there's a more visual novel style side to the game.  You can talk to the girls, find out more about them and their backstories, give them gifts, play the rubbing game again to increase your bond, as well as a shooter style mini game where you pilot a ship and damage the girls clothes to find their "hidden crystal."  Once you win, you unlock an additional dungeon that allows you to "go deeper" into your monster girl and add to their abilities.  In the dungeons you find panties that belong to each girl and allows you to change their costumes, which also affect their stats.

It's lewd, it's fun, and it's pretty incredible that a game like this exists, much less on the Nintendo Switch.  The monster girl illustrations and monster designs are beautiful, the music is catchy and upbeat, and the fan service is out of control.  There's even a monster girl who "washes her beans" - a literal pot of beans - when she's embarrassed.  This game is either up your alley or it isn't, and you'll know it immediately.  My only knock on the game is that it doesn't do too much to differentiate itself from last year's release, Moero Chronicle H.  While the protagonist and scenario are different, most of the monster girls are the same as Chronicle.

If you like your game play vintage like OG Phantasy Star or Etrian Odyssey and you like doing lewd things to anime girls to recruit them to fight for you, then this is your game.

I never laugh at Wombat's dumb jokes.  Japanesus made me laugh out loud, and it's the title of the episode.  Good job Wombat.

I am still 0/2 for next gen consoles. I am usually with Ship and 100% on top of these things. I don't think I've ever missed a new console launch. I was in the middle of moving into a new house during the PS5 preorder drop so it is understandable that I missed that one.

With XSX, I was with everyone else refreshing like mad. I had one in my cart at Microsoft.com early on, but it never would process. Later I was able to get one in my cart at Best Buy, but again, it would not process.

Disappointing, but I'll get them eventually.

Maybe I am dense -- and I understand why they won't make the assumptions on the show, but does anyone know which retailer Cheapy is talking about that oversold ps4s?

I preordered on amazon the second they went live and already got an email saying that they likely won't fulfill all orders on release date, so I am leaning amazon.

I had no luck at all getting an Series X pre-order. I was presenting in a meeting when it went live, had my wife stalking Best Buy, which as one reporter indicated "forgot" to go live for a few hours.

Should have let her order from Walmart when she had the chance but told her to wait for Best Buy.

Amazon's came and went fast too.

Oh well, as they said, they will be available at some point. I'll live.

Side note, Untitled Goose Game now has co-op, and it's hilarious! Lots of fun with my 5-yr old.

I'm just past the Mack Weldon ad and it's been a real riot. Especially Cheapy talking shit about Wombats table tennis interest. But my feedback is actually more do with your sponsor. Can you talk with Mack Weldon and ask them when are they going to start shipping to the EU? Listening about your love of their underwear and such is starting to infuriate me, because I can't order them living in Europe. So please tell Mack Weldon that we also would like their comfortable underwear and sweat pants!

EDIT: That also goes for Harrys! They're only shipping to the UK the last time I checked a few months ago. Even though their factory is in Germany... Give the rest of the EU also a chance!

Wombat, you are probably correct about your daughter's ability to do better in class than at home. Learning styles vary from person to person, it's likely she's better at the more traditional setting (ie. what we'd consider Old School).
Generally the best practice is to make several styles available so that you can assess a student at their best. If you're very concerned, I would bring this up with the teacher and present it in a way of asking whether more weight can be placed on her strengths so that it reflects better on her overall mark. But with only 2 assessments, a 75 and a 100, that averages to about 88%. More assessments will mean more opportunities to improve. If she doesn't and she continues to do poorly from home, then maybe a discussion is in order.

Shipwreck - Watching lots of sports. The Reds are over .500

Wombat - It helps when you've only played 7 games...

Cheapy - (who can't be bothered b/c he's dicking around trying to figure out who to raid on twitch) Yeah, I saw somebody created a graphic with the launch games, and it's like...$500..for that...it's hard to get that excited about it.

All of us - ((crickets))

Thanks for the entertainment, guys! I love and/or tolerate all of you.

I have been a CAGcast listener since around episode 20 and this is my first time commenting. I thought the beginning of last week's show was tough to listen to.  Wombat has talked about Cheapy not being a real friend in the past and listening to Cheapy belittle Wombat's athletic skills was not cool.  So what if it is not his thing, leave it alone.  He asked Cheapy to come see his new dog when it joined his family and all Cheapy wanted him to do was have him go to the local ping pong club instead.  When Wombat mentioned that he was getting harassed in the comments during the show, Cheapy seemed to feel bad for a few seconds, but then went back to the put downs.  Situations like this have seemed to increase when Shipwreck joined in.  I love the show and always have it in my weekly rotation, but it would be great if Cheapy would be a bit more respectful to Wombat.
