of all the games that were ported from wii-u to ns, this one makes the most sense.... and it's nowhere to found...this would be a fantastic remake for ps5.

Too bad Nintendo gives zero s#!ts about this series. It makes one wonder why it even bought out the franchise if it had such little intention of supporting it.

Don't see Nintendo bringing this over to NS any time soon.

Who is still buying WiiU games? That system was so bad. This is not a deal.
What are you smoking? Do you even own a Wii U? Doubt it, otherwise you wouldn't hate on it. I played Breath of the Wild on it before I got a switch and it looked and played amazing. Honestly, not a huge difference in performance or graphics.

I probably shouldn't have but ended up paying full price for this since it never went on sale.

Underpowered as is typical of Nintendo systems these days, but it still had enough quality games to make it worth it at the time. It's kind of sad actually that so many Switch titles are ports, but I guess at least people who skipped out on Wii U get to play them.

The Switch is what the Wii U was meant to be. Nintendo tried to innovate while half-assing it like they always do. I didn't like how anti-consumer they were with the Wii U basically saying seeya sucker to the people who bought one with little to no support over time. I am anticipating a PS4 Pro or One X as their next system capability.

Knowing Nintendo it would be the base model PS4 and Xbox One equivalent.

I don't regret buying a Wii U although maybe I would have at full price (I paid $220 for the Skylanders bundle with Nintendoland and sold the Skylanders items for around $60 after fees and shipping).

There are very few Switch exclusive games I want especially when the Switch ports of Wii U games can cost more than the original Wii U version like Tropical Freeze. With the clearances on Wii U games, I paid $10 for games like Mario 3D World and New Super Mario Bros U, $30 for Mario Kart 8, $20 for Captain Toad Treasure Tracker with amiibo etc.

Great to see you kids talk about what underpowered gaming console is the best, most specialest out of all the underpowered gaming consoles. You console wars children can't enjoy exclusive games on systems without getting into dumbass dick-measuring contests when all your specs were mid-tier years ago in PC world.

Aww man, I actually caved in and paid the full $50 for this just a few months ago (as I was trying to wrap up my collections for various systems). Never thought there would be any kind of sale on it after I had waited so long.

Shut the hell up.

It never even got a proper release in U.S. it was digital only while it had the budget of a full sized game. Fatal Frame 4 never came to U.S. at all. They don't care about the series in U.S. only in Japan.

As someone who owns a Wii U, as a device, it is terrible. The OS sucks, the tablet is clunky and has horrendous battery life, and the entire storage situation is garbage. The games are its only redeeming aspect, and they still couldnt move units with a library of amazing then-exclusives. In retrospect, if i would have known that 95% of worthwhile Wii U titles would be ported to the Switch, I would have never bought a Wii U at all.

Back to the deal, has any guinea pigged yet? Because if this works, i am in.

Thanks to the OP. This game was literally on my wishlist for over 5 years and never went on sale once. I don’t play the Wii U often but as a collector I still have it and between this, the Zelda remasters,Kirby and the Rainbow Curse, and Xenoblade Chronicles X I have a few reasons to keep the system around and dust it off every now and then. With that said did anyone actually buy this and make sure it’s legit??? :D

I agree with all of this. Nintendo never really tried much to right the ship with Wii U. With Gamecube, the Company went out there to secure third-party exclusives (e.g., the Metal Gear Solid remake and the Capcom 5) to support it when it seemed apparent PlayStation and Xbox were getting a far larger/deeper library. With Wii U, if Nintendo even made an effort, nothing ever materialized. The console never got any support from the big publishers besides the ports at the start, and then quickly trickled on until its demise. Even Nintendo's first party games went south - that Mario Tennis title is basically a full priced "demo."

To me, the general indifference to how Nintendo treated its Wii U adopters has basically carried on in magnified ways with the Switch, which I think has represented Nintendo's "new" obsession to cash-in on its loyal fans, at any costs, even to the point of abuse. The lazy ports and console update, the pointless and over-priced nostalgia plays in trinkets and amiibos, and incomplete releases with later DLC add-ons. Sure, is some of this just Nintendo doing what other publishers do? Yes. But that doesn't make it any more palatable. It's sad to see the Company essentially adopt some of the worst practices other companies do, and not bat an eye about it. I suppose it's also sad that die-hard Nintendo fanboys defend those bad practices, just because, well, it's Mario.

All of this is to say that my interest in Nintendo titles has similarly diminished. I still enjoy hearing about new Mario and Zelda games, but neither excite me as much anymore. I'm also happy to wait and pick up Nintendo games later, and feel no desire to support the Company until I've exhausted other games.

I was going to offer myself up as tribute through Paypal however upon going to check out, there is a $25 shipping charge...on a digital item. So yeah there you go. Shipping kills it and shadiness of course.

On the plus side if someone is willing to be the guinea pig, the Switch remaster that'll only cost $19.99 will be announced later this week.

Someone reported my post about how childish you all are for using this thread as a vehicle to talk shit about a previous gen system and how much you hate Nintendo. You think your bitching is justified, but someone telling you to stop bitching needs to be deleted by the mods? Whiny shits.

All of your gripes are the equivalent of some virgin nerd teenager saying "MOM you know I hate MLP now, they totally ruined it forever in the last season."

It was a system, it had some great games. Nobody cares that you didn't feel like you got what you were owed due to your childish entitlement. They tried to sell a PS2 with a hard drive attachment and a modem attachment. There were a lot of PS3's and Xbox 360's that straight up failed and needed to be replaced. Do I hold a grudge against Sony or Microsoft for introducing DLC and charging for the ability to play online, or for having underpowered graphics? No, because I'm an adult. Grow up.

As if there's ever been a Switch port that was cheaper than the Wii U version. Good joke. Also, they didn't care enough to release this physically in the US or even print a sufficient number of copies in Europe. I doubt it will ever come to Switch or any other future Nintendo platform. They didn't localize Fatal Frame 4 ever, either.

So, I'm probably the only one still hoping this is legit. FYI, The reviews are actually taken from Amazon's page.
It's not. I took the plunge and something was up when I received a shipping number for something that wasnt physical plus said tracking number had already had the item shipped days before the order and already delivered which made no sense whatsoever. It took going to Paypal and reporting to get my money back which should be coming this week but otherwise moral of the story is: please dont.
