Rockstar Codes for Xbox

I shared it on the Xbox Deals thread last week but they were 10 for $10 at Kroger through yesterday. This week, the pricing is back up to $2.19 but they’re Buy 1 Get 1 Free.

I consume one of these daily so if you’re like me, with the max payout being $60 you don’t have much time to take full advantage before the 12/31 cutoff.

I actually didn't see it! Yeah Quiktrip has a promo with these its 3/$5.50 with a $1 off when you buy 3 so I have like 5 a week 🤣
 
I wish we had QT in the Memphis area. Every time I visit Oklahoma, I spend foolish amounts of money on those darn buffalo chicken things from the roller grill.

With the new CyberPunk 2077 release having been pushed back to 12/10, I'll have it paid for through this promo. Has to be one of the best promos going right now and next to no one is hyping it up.

only a good promo if you drink rockstar though. the rockstar game pass deal was great as it was still a good deal even if you didn't drink rockstar

 
Well you also get Cyberpunk stuff, but yeah thsts true yku have to make sure you drink Rockstar

The first three codes get you [one each] a Cyberpunk digital comic through comixology. The first 60 codes each get you a [different] code to redeem on Xbox for $1 each in credit. All codes redeemed get you one entry into their sweepstakes for some pretty cool stuff

I was just about to mention the Target Circle deal, stinks that you aren't able to grab some yet. They barely started showing last week in my neck of the woods. I grabbed 12 cans at a nearby store this past Monday.

Went tonight and they were fully stocked. . .with the cyberpunk cans! Came out to $1.12 each, so I’ll take that as a win. :D/

 
Almost gave up looking for a Rockstar / Cyberpunk / Kroger thread, because I didn't want to start a new one.  Hopefully CAG's search will find this thread easier now?
 
Between Monday Dec. 7th through Tuesday, Dec. 15th ... all Rockstar cans are 10/$10 at Kroger chains, aka $1 apiece!  Although most Cyberpunk-branded cans have already been sold/consumed, my local Fred Meyer in Bellevue, WA had at least 20 cases of Samurai Cola on a mountainous storefront display (1 case = 12 cans).
 
Though I understand folks don't want to drink/hoard so much Rockstar before Dec. 31st ... hear me out:

  • The tabs can be easily pried up using pliers & a flathead screwdriver (to read the codes).
  • I really like this berry-flavored cola, especially when mixed with another 16oz of diet cola to slow the sugar intake, so that's fine with me.
  • Sugar can remain in cool storage for a LOT longer than Sucralose or Erythritol, and the citric/benzoic acids will help with that.
  • Glucose & Sucrose can more-easily be utilized by the body, whereas Fructose must be first processed by the liver (and potentially stored as a fatty oil).  Sucralose isn't so bad (as a zero-calorie sweetener), because you're consuming non-digestible bleached sugar.  :shock:
  • Erythritol (used in a few Sugar-Free flavors), more than other sugar-alcohols I've tried, gives me the shitzus.  :booty:

does anyone mind showing what/where the code is on the tab so i know how many/easy it will be to pry them off without drinking my rockstar

Yep, I've been doing so daily and it's an incredibly painless effort since you enter the code, click a redeem button, follow the link and if you're logged into MS it just does all the work for you. As for the claim of easily prying them up to read and enter, I have a hard time reading them with them fully tabbed open. Maybe with a camera helping to see under it could be done, but that's a lot of effort on 60 cans. Just clip the tabs off if you need to do it this way.

It's directly beneath the flattened tab portion on the pull tab. Like the portion that would normally be hollowed out on a soda can, that's where it is.

I have $39 credit so far. Feels weird buying so many of these. Not to mention it gets heavy carrying them all. I bought all I could find at my local Food for Less but there is another one 8 min in the other direction so I will check that out tomorrow. They are only $0.99 each. Took about 40 min or so to get and enter the codes. Turning the tab sideways and trying to pull it up enough not to break it and be able to still drink it took some finesse haha. I hadn't had an energy drink in like 4 years prior to now. I need to read up on just how many I can drink in a week in a way that is healthy. I have different flavors and I have noticed the caffeine is not the same for all of them. They all have way more than a standard soda though that's for sure. I have a feeling 60 of these things are going to last me months or maybe a year and I will likely be giving some to friends.

I still have three cans left over from when I bought some at Albertsons Market and Target. I ended buying four cases (fruit punch) from Amazon when they had them for $11.94 each last month. I already hit the $60 limit for my main account and used that to buy some games during the BF sale. I don't know if I should risk trying to add $3 to my secondary account or just give them away.

 
If these codes work the same as the gears codes last year, you should be able to add more than 60 $1 codes to your Xbox account. It’s just a max of 60 tabs for Xbox codes. If you sign up with a second email with rockstar you should be able to keep redeeming tabs and add them to your Xbox account.

I am only adding them for the $1 MS. You are stating if I sign up with another email, I can add more than $60 MS currency or did I read that wrong?

I can’t confirm because I’ve only put $43 on my MS account so far this year. But last year they were giving away stuff too; I believe it was game pass codes. Last year I redeemed tabs under multiple emails to get as many codes as possible. I had no problems adding everything I got from multiple rockstar accounts to my one MS account

I can confirm this works. I just maxed out my 60/60 with my main email. I signed up on rockstar with a different email and redeemed with no problems. It just gives you a code to enter into the MS redeem area. No, I have not redeemed all my 60 codes yet for the MS money as it says I have until the end of January for that. Is that what you are referring to? Like MS might only let you redeem 60 $1 codes? Even if that is the case, I can just redeem the codes I have on the new email on my friends account I gameshare with. Hell, one could get an unlimited amount of MS money this way. In theory, I could buy 500 of these rockstar cans and buy a Series X with that cash. I will have paid 99 cents for the cans and get 5 cents back to recycle them. If my math is right, that's $25 you'd get back. A lot of work for $25 sure but I suppose one could do that. I won't but I will go clean out my other Food 4 Less and just get whatever goodies on the store with the credit.

There's only a few documented cases of caffeine overdosing, none fatal. And it would require a ridiculous amount of perpetual drinking of coffee or these drinks to even come close. That said, my understanding is the recommendation is no more than 500mg of caffeine per day, primarily due to side effects and the addictive property since it is a psychoactive drug. My wife's mom will get headaches in the morning without caffeine since it has been a morning routine for decades and is addicted by now.

The bigger concern is the two sweetener substitutes they put in these, which is undigestable bleached sugar. That's if you get them calorie free though. It's kind of pick your poison of diabetes or cancer if all you do is drink these lol.

That said, it's completely safe but not a healthy ritual. I wouldn't go so far to cut caffeine out entirely as there are benefits to consumption, but moderation is best.

 
Says they have to be redeemed by 1/31/2021 and spent within 90.

I know the 90 is true.
Any idea if they will really not redeem after 1/31? I think all my dlc has always redeemed. Currency may be different.
 
My only concern is how the system will interpret using the MS credit. I have quite a bit of credit sitting in there after Christmas, but no intention of using it all in 3 months. Kinda concerned I will start seeing it drain away a dollar a day until I use all the credit up, which is a terrible position to be in.

If you buy something with credit, MS will take the oldest (expiring) credit first. And you can always check to see how much credit you have and any expiration dates for said credit in your payment options online or in settings on your console

Had no idea that was even possible: mind blown. Turns out I have only $14 left to use up by mid-March. I should be able to figure something out. . .

It spends expiring funds first. So unless you have alot alot.
 
So I was only able to find 4 different flavors with the Cyberpunk promotion. It's over with now but having tasted all of them, I figured I would let you know how I thought they tasted.

The original flavor in the black can is disgusting. I can't believe that's their first flavor or original to get people to buy their product. Does anyone here actually like it?

The sugar free, white can flavor is okay. It's drinkable but not very enjoyable.

The silver ice flavor is citrus tasting and smelling and kind of reminds me of a diet soda taste. Pretty good overall.

I saved the best for last and that's the Fruit punch flavor. It's delicious and tastes nothing like an energy drink. The majority of the 125 cans I bought were fruit punch flavor. Just delightful.

 
Still wondering if I can sit on the 5x5 coffee for awhile, or definitely have to redeem and hope for a sale to spend on.
 
I can confirm you were able to add more than 60 codes. I redeemed 125 so that's $125 more in MS money I have now. Oh and you only have 5 days to redeem the codes and add them to the MS store.

 
I wound up with a total of $312 from the promotion. I drink them anyway and so do both of my parents (who don’t game) so it was easy to rack up the codes. We did bend some tabs of cans we had leftover so I could redeem them before the deadline. I already used some of the credit around Black Friday but have $266 left over to put towards a series x if I can ever catch it in stock
 
If anyone did forget, you should still be able to redeem today so get on it. Those codes take a while to redeem one at a time!
 
I entered some more codes on the site, but when i went to redeem, they now say codes are expired from microsoft.

The $1 code I got from Rockstar yesterday morning said it was expired when I tried to redeem it.  I think this might have ended early.
