Everything I pulled is from the print sale that begins the Sunday before Thanksgiving, November 22nd. (only possibly exclusion is the 10% off eshop/xbox cards may start Saturday, November 28th)

This list from Best Buy does not seem to correspond with today’s “Black Friday” sale. Is there any indication when this version will actually start? Specifically, I’m looking at Outer Worlds for 20, which is still 30 in today’s sale.

22nd or 23rd (can’t remember which) is when their sales are supposed to start. Not sure if in store, but should be for online. Goes through the 28th I believe.

That’s why it’s so great these new consoles have great backwards compatibility, can just enjoy some new gen games and wait for the last gen ones to fall cheap on BF.

Maybe someone can help me think this through but is anyone else confused on their buying plans? I have a PS4 slim right now but I plan on getting a Series X in a couple years when it (inevitably I hope) goes on sale. I see a lot of games from this gen that I'd like to buy but do you think I should get them on Xbox One instead? That way they would be forward compatible with the Series X and would probably get small upgrades when I play them there. It seems kind of counterintuitive and I'm not sure it makes sense. I already have a PS4 backlog so I'm not too worried about that but just thought I would get some opinions from you guys.

You are considering buying games for a system you plan to buy in two years? Xbox seems committed to BC so I imagine whatever xbox game you buy now will most likely work in foreseeable future...but those games will likely get cheaper or maybe even gwg at some point...

Last I heard it was 99% of PS4 games work on it (they might have switched that to all of them). At the time the tiny list of games that didn’t work weren’t even remotely interesting to me lol.

But yeah I’m definitely going to look for deals on things like Mafia DE and Crash 4 when they get cheaper to play on the PS5.

I think there’s about 10 PS4 games or fewer that WONT work on the ps5. Most recently Ubisoft said the only mainline assassins creed that won’t work is syndicate

Valhalla, Sniper Elite Contracts, THPS, and Doom Eternal really only going to be available for Xbox?

Either way, sales are luckily going in the direction I pretty much anticipated. Minus these, I might be spending $95 for 7 games (radically skewed by 4 for 20 Doom Slayer).

I'm sure some of the multi-platform games will be on sale for at least PS4 and Xbox.

The 20 you are thinking of are the 20 ps4 titles that will be included with ps plus.
