Marvel's Avengers Xbox One $29.99 at Amazon.com

Was tempted at first, but with all the planned DLC for this, plus the next gen upgrade delayed to next year, I think I’ll wait for a GOTY release or a deeper discount. I rented it at release and while it’s not bad, it wasn’t exactly fun either.

This is actually a great game, they have patched alot of bugs and I have been playing this more and liking it than many other games, such as LOU2.  Big open world environments, good story, and a lot of side missions, many hours worth of play trying to level up.

FWIW, if anyone is planning to play this on a Series X, the visual upgrade was delayed until 2021. I’d suspect this will be $20 by then.

(Saw this thread, was tempted but then Google was my friend on the delayed upgrade :) )

Edit: reading other earlier posts would also have helped, lol

Pretty sure all the DLC is going to be free, just with the option to purchase the Battle Pass for each character... Not sure what a GOTY edition can offer.

I would assume they could offer an edition that adds more battle passes to the base game, similar to the way it includes the core heroes right now. Their dlc model seems pretty ambitious, adding a ton of new heroes over the next year. Mixed reviews might alter that plan, but I also find myself waiting for two things before I bite -

1. Spider-man - when I found out he’s not being added until next year, I definitely felt like I could wait.

2. The base game only has 3 or 4 real Marvel villains in it. I’d like to see if the new dlc content adds more enemies, as the majority of fights are with robots and no-name villains. Hopefully they add some bigger names, at which point I’ll bite.

I forgot that spiderman was a Sony console exclusive

IMO it was designed as a next-Gen game all along. While it’s beautiful on the PS4 Pro I get the feeling it’s not running as well as it should and the load times are terrible. Given the talent of the team and the investment in it I expect it to hit its stride in the near future and become the game it was meant to be ala No Man’s Sky.

Paying $ for this game which is already 50% off is like the choice between eating a TURD SANDWICH or not.....i choose NOT!
