Gamefly BF Sale: Marvels Avengers, Tony Hawk 1+2, Mafia Definitive Edition $19.99 each free shipping PS4/XB1 and More

Almost bit on Avengers, but it seems like one of those games that will either really take off or crash abysmally early next year ... so think I’ll wait.

I'm in the same boat as well. Feel like that game will go down more, $9.99 soon. It hasn't been out that long and it is already at $19.99

Avengers is tempting as I actually liked the demo but I'll continue to wait as I'm sure I'll be picking that up new for $10 or so.

I, too, was tempted by Avengers for $20, but I can't see myself playing it immediately and so decided to wait (since it will inevitably get as cheap, or cheaper, in the future).

I did pick up Paper Mario: The Origami King for $35, though.

Worth noting the next-gen upgrade for Avengers won’t be out until next year, nor will the addition of Spider-man for PS4/5.

Those additions could drive the price back up above $20 ... but I’m willing to wait and see. The base game had some performance issues on my PS4 Pro when I rented it, so not sure I can recommend biting right now.

My thoughts exactly. Take it from someone who bought Anthem at $20; it seemed like a good deal at the time but it stung to see it going for $5-10 months later. Failed GAAS's tend to drop fast.

I just bought some niche games from them during this sale. Spirit of the North, Monstrum, Void Bastards, Giraffe and Annika. They always seem to have the best price around for that kind of stuff and free shipping sweetens the deal.

Forgive my ignorance but I haven't been tracking this game at all, but is there any single player to it? It looks like an online only type of game to me.

I might bite on Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order XB1 since it’s near my buy price and none of the other stores have it for $20 new. I’ll add it to the backlog.

There’s a single player component with a storyline, but you can also team up for online missions with other players I believe. It’s just lacking quite a bit of content imo, lots of repetition and only 3-4 actual Marvel villains that aren’t generic robots. Graphics are impressive but it needed dlc content months ago and it’s roadmap has been delayed due to the pandemic.

I’m going to try and wait on Avengers it seems to be like Anthem was a lot of hype with no payoff hopefully BB will have it for $10 and include the steelbook they had with it.

After all my reasoning about not buying Avengers, I ended up biting today for $20 ... I’ll mess around with it for a few weeks and then plan to flip it back on Amazon or Craigslist before Christmas. Should be able to make my money back and I’m curious to see if it runs better on the PS5.

The steelbook stock is already drying up with this current sale.

How long does it take to get stuff from GameFly? I ordered two games when this went live and both supposedly “shipped” 11/24. Haven’t gotten either.

I want to say most times I've ordered games from them it's taken about 5-7 days (not including Sunday) to receive. It's sporadic though once I received a game from them the next day (no idea how) and once it took like 2.5 weeks so it varies. I don't believe they've ever sent me tracking info which is the annoying part

I’m having the same issue, shipped 11/25 but nothing yet. Didn’t get a tracking number so I can’t go to my post office to inquire. It’s been a bit since I’ve ordered from them but they usually get it to me fairly quick. Mine was shipped from Pittsburgh.

I spoke with my post office about another package I had shipped to me and they said certain regions are slower due to Covid or shortages, not sure which or if that’s 100% the answer, but we will see. I assume it’s more than likely the case, just in wait and see mode at this point. That coupled with Christmas time probably has the post office/ups/fedex etc jammed

Had asked GameFly if they had any tracking info, etc. to which they replied with a refund. Today i finally got them. I guess I should be good and let them know...

Interestingly, both games had a tracking label on the packages. Why the hell don't they just give you that to begin with?

I've been able to use USPS Informed Delivery (free, though it might require address verification) to track most packages from GameFly.  That service will allow you to see the tracking numbers on most packages that are sent via USPS and incoming to your address (though it might take a while for some to show up).  I have no clue why GameFly doesn't include these numbers on the site.

As far as delivery time goes, it varies for me depending on which distribution center it ships from but they do use "Parcel Select Lightweight" on a lot of my shipments, which has a delivery timeframe of 2-9 business days (though it could take longer as it is not a guaranteed service).
