The Last of US 2 (PS4) $19.99 Shipped

Adorama is a legit retailer, they mostly sell cameras and videography equipment. Surprised to see them selling games now, but hey, it’s a crazy world.
 
Still too expensive. Decent gameplay (but nothing really original) God awful story. Loved Last of Us 1, 2 is one of my most disappointing games in the history of ever.

I wonder at what point, people who did not like the story are going stop talking about how they did not like the story every time something about this game is posted. By now I think everyone is aware that this game is polarizing so not sure why people feel the need to advertise their side of it.

Funny to watch people get triggered over video game opinions but ok,

swj didn't help but to me it was the way they handled Joel who was a beloved character in 1. You want to kill him off do it but don't have him suddenly becoming this trusting person when he wasn't that way at all in the first place. It was like it was different writers who didn't play the first game.

Then you end up playing the game for nothing because Ellie was after her revenge but decides to let Abby walk at the end after she slaughtered all her friends. Abby was a god awful character just one of the worst I've ever seen.  I wanted her to die, yet I'm forced to play as her half the game and she gets better weapons than Ellie. It was pathetic. I remember people being upset at Metal Gear Solid 2 when you ended up playing as Raiden instead of Snake, this made that look like a fantastic decision. Raiden who is a mostly bland character compared to Abby is Mr. Charisma.

Jesse was kind of an interesting character, let's just have him get shot in the head. 

I would be more interested in some of you trying to DEFEND the story. There's almost nothing redeemable about it. It's like seeing a car wreck with multiple fatalities and trying to figure out something good that came from it. 

So I'm not allowed to bitch about a game that disappointed me more than almost any game in my life when it's on topic, but you're allowed to bitch about my post. Logic. If you're not allowed to talk about the game that the deal is being posted for, they should just disable replies all together just let someone post the deal and that's it. Middle finger to all that. But I guess it was be great if I said how I loved the story loved how they abandoned everything good about the first one. Then I would get 50 social credit points.

Opinions are one thing, but you appear to be searching for reactions in some of your posts. I am sorry that this was the most disappointing game in your life, but you must move on and accept that this game is the most bad ass emotionally driven game EVER!!! (my opinion)

Feel the only vocal people are randoms on the internet since the game still sold extremely well and was very well received. I didn't think it was as good as LoU1 but it was still a wonderful game with a great story, amazing attention to detail in it's world and characters I actually cared about on both sides. Meh, maybe I'm easy to please.

 
TLOU = The Walking Dead = Zombieland

TLOU2 = Fear the Walking Dead = Zombieland 2

Common theme amongst zombie media. It only gets worse!  :p

I paid full price for TLOU2:SE and have no regrets! My guns are smaller than Abbys too!

Can't find any solid info on a PS5 upgrade. Not even if a 60fps patch is incoming. Any news out there? I have a feeling I'll buy this, sit on it for an upgrade and then they will announce a paid remater like Spiderman.

No one said or impeded on your ability to express your views here. We just expressed our views which is fatigue of every single goddamn time a deal is posted on Last of Us II, there are always a flood of posts saying the exact same thing as non-descript and generic as possible.

I'll repect your opinion, I'll just say it reads like a copy paste summary of every youtuber that trashed the game. If that's how you feel, fine. I never played the game, I don't have strong feelings one way or another until I do.

 
I disliked this game, but it wasn't because of a bad story or gameplay. It was because the story, with well told, is needlessly nihilistic. It's clearly aiming at the idea that revenge is futile and self destructive, which, while true, is also not exactly an insightful observation. The word "duh" comes to mind.

It's well done, it's just vapidity masquerading as depth.

It's a steal at $20. Even as an imperfect product, it's still absolutely a vital experience to have if you're a playstation gamer wanting to keep up with the zeitgeist.

 
I bought it on BF sale for $30 and started the game two weeks ago. I think I'm near at the end of the game. So far I'm actually enjoying the game. Graphics, sounds, acting are incredible and top-notch. Gameplay is about the same as the first one. Screw ya'll who called this game trash. It's not at all. I'm a dumbass for waiting till Xmas to play it just because of all the user reviews on Metacritic I read. All BS.

I think it was the storyline leak that really cause people to form a strong opinion before they played the game. I only read the leaks after finishing the game and all the major storyline points were there. It was such an emotional game that was meant to be experienced as you play through it.

Bingo, people made up their minds before they even got to experience the game. Obviously most of this centers around how they handle Joel. "I LOVED HIM IN THE FIRST GAME AND THEY CHANGE HIM AND BLAH BLAH BLAH". At this point they have their heads so far up their ass that they fail to see the manner in which Joel has grown as a person, and the fact that even though he is far less than perfect, he's a broken man doing the absolute best he can in very trying circumstances. Unfortunately, a lot of people are pretty hell bent on using their own color as a sounding board. Games with a story like this about the journey, not the destination.

 
What the heck showing $20 but when checking out back to $60. Sucks cuz I thought I wasn’t gonna buy another gift but I have to buy this as a gift.

Here, here! I don't feel like playing Last of Us 2 because I just thought the first one told a complete satisfying story and the new one sounds like I probably would not like it. Therefore, I forfeit having an opinion on the game. Not going to regurgitate other people's ideas to justify not having any of my own because I didn't play it.

 
I loved the first game and enjoyed this game.  At parts, it felt like a slog, and it wasn't what I expected, but I still think it's a great game.  I didn't particularly like the focus on hand-to-hand combat.  I would've rather bashed someone's head in with a 2x4, and I felt like the drops of these items was less than in the first.  I didn't feel like doing all of the fist fighting. Also, all of the whistling got really annoying after a while.

I did not think it was as good as the first one but the first one is one of the best games of all time, so topping that or even being on par with that is a very difficult thing to do.

This was exactly my issue with the game, or at least basically my issue with the game. Near the end of the game when
the two main characters go at it, that fight was just... stupid unrealistic and all immersion is just lost. Yes, I know it was ND trying to show you what one character was like when you played as the other character but it just didn't feel... natural. Also, I think they were trying to replicate the David fight from the first game not once with this fight (and in an earlier fight) but it never felt as tense. And then came the final, final showdown and by then, I was like... come on and actually groaned.

This game had some high highs but those low points took it down a few notches for me.

I loved the game. Even though I hate Joel's fate and that Abby looks so masculine, its off-putting. But the game looks superb, the gameplay is great, and its fun as hell. I did not care for some of the story points, but others were satisfying to me. (Don't want to say for those who have not played the game yet.) The game really can mess with your emotions in a good way.

For $20, its a no brainer. I felt my $60 was well spent for the hours (every time I thought the game was about to end, it kept going which I did not mind) of enjoyment I got out of this game.

Man, still have my sealed version I got for $60 from my local game store. I knew this game would tank but I also thought I would end up playing it ASAP. But life happened and i'm still not able to play it yet. Lesson officially learned to just wait for deals.

It didn't tank... It's the 3rd highest grossing game in Playstation history. It's the fastest selling PS4 game. Also the highest sold digital Playstation game.

Despite the vocal minority hate for the story, still has some of the highest ratings and accolades of any game. This game didn't tank, at all.

Woops tank is not the word I meant to use haha. I meant it would just basically drop in price by around this time. I'm excited to play for sure. Waiting for my wife to finish the first game so we can start this one together.

Yea, do not buy Sony's first party games unless you are ready to play. Both Sony and MS are very aggressive with first party game pricing (unlike Nintendo) that they often drop their games to $10 during sales within a year. I don't have time to play too many games so I only pick first party games up when they hit $20 or less like this one. With Game Pass, I don't even buy too many games anymore at launch. Only those that I play with friends online from the go, which are very few and far in between.

I have a shelf full of Switch games that I'm certain I won't get around to playing until 2023.

And my Xbox Series HDD says I own over 1500 digital games, so I' m something of hypocite and collect as well!

I’m just imaging a game where the whole premise is old kratos offending abby by mansplaining, gender norming, or whatever the terms are. Them taking time out of their respective stories to debate it, ultimately sparking a dark gritty cycle of revenge between the two. It could be the premise of PS battle allstars round 2, with the rest of the Sony multiverse taking sides in the epic battle!

This is legitimately exactly how I describe it. Though the gameplay was so boring that I had to play like Rambo to enjoy myself and get through it. Abby was fine. The story was garbage.
