Surprised Shipwreck didn’t mention the movie Greyhound on Apple TV+. Pretty good Tom Hanks WW2 navy movie.

Valhalla sounds super bloated. I think I’ll wait for the next gen AC.

Ghost of Tsushima is a very long game, but it must not be nearly as much of a chore to finish because it has a 48% completion rate.

I hope Cheapy and Wombat offered condolences to Ship off air. Geezus. Sounds like a rough time, even more so with kids. Sorry Shipwreck.

You Don’t Know Jack is my fave trivia game as well, Cheapy. It’s also in Jack Box Party Pack 5. Definitely can play online as well.

I have not played AC Valhalla but I have put 130 hours into Odyssey, which is the most time I have given any game. (I blame quarantine.) The game is definitely too long but at the same time the content is really high quality. When the action got a bit repetitive the story kept me very interested (excellent writing and casting). I wanted to quickly recommend the Fate of Atlantis DLC, which is almost an entirely new game, where you go to mythical places like Elysium and Hades. In some ways it is better than the main game because the maps are more compact and the locations are super cool. Plus you get upgrades to abilities that make you feel like a god. It's practically an AC Odyssey sequel. I wonder how many people actually tried it...it's some of the best DLC I've ever played. Not to mention many characters from the main game return in interesting and surprising ways.

My question is, why the hell do game developers make games this long? Is it really worth it? I've read in the past that about 10% of players get to the end of an average game. I feel bad for the guys and gals who spend all this time on content that a fraction of the players experience.

I would have been very happy with a 40-60 hour AC game. I have no appetite for more and so I'm skipping Valhalla.

Anyway good show as always. More poop jokes plz
