Nintendo $70 eshop code $50 at Walmart

dunno what the deal is, but no matter what payment method (card or paypal) I keep getting 'order canceled for suspicious activity' ... tried 4 times now... anyone having success or is this some other hiccup?

update: tried a third card and the order isn't auto cancelled, its listed as "preparing order", but no delivery of Eshop code yet (order placed just over an hour ago)

update update 1246EST:  congrats to anyone who got this going... my 'preparing order' is canceled and item page is 404

Got mine two and a half hours ago after I initially placed it and just placed another just now using Paypal again. Now I just need a Switch Pro to be real.

 
Yeah, it cancels right away no matter what I use to pay for it, card or paypal. They probably caught on and have it set now to instantly cancel any orders for it.

Their policy is no price matching gift cards or digital items, so you gotta get lucky and get someone who doesn't know that, I tried 3 different ones and got told no by all of them.

Oh I didn't know that. Is that just BB? Target only goes up to $50 or else I might try to PM Target because I have credit with them. Keep trying like others here have. Use paypal or other payment methods.

I used the app to order, I think some people have more luck with it, and I used paypal. Took around 2-3 hours but I finally got my code

 
Surprised my code came in. Don't need it right now, so if anyone missed out and wants the code at cost, lemme know!

I've had horrible luck with walmart in general especially with digital stuff so probably just gave myself a big hassle with customer service again but $20 off was worth the gamble. Glad some other people are getting it to go through though.
 
Saw Wario64's post and decided to give it a shot. It went through and I got my code 3 hours after. I used a Walmart gift card and a debit card to purchase just one order.

My first code I ordered when the deal first went live took two and a half hours to recieve and the second one I ordered after getting the first code took 15 minutes to get. So this seems pretty random in my book. Also did you know you can only have a maximum of $200 eShop funds? Because I do now...

i saw the limit on sd. not sure why they have such a low limit but then again it's nintendo so i guess it doesn't need to make sense

 
Worked for me! Already have $70 in my account from holiday deals but this is too good to pass up.

Also grabbed some $5 items that shipped free cause the gift card counted towards the minimum. Even better!

 
If I was a digital guy, I would be all over this deal. I still prefer physical whenever I can and having $70 worth of digital only doesn't compute for me.

I also like physical games and plan to use the $70 on dlc or a special once in a blue moon digital sale.

 
Got one earlier this afternoon. Took about 30 minutes between order and delivery. Curiosity and greed got the best of me and I just tried for another one. Used PayPal for both and we'll see if the second order works.

Been sitting 5 hours just now checking my E-Mail, decided to check my account on Walmart and it shows as Canceled, checked my Bank Account and money was refunded..

So my order was canceled without E-Mail notification

Check your Walmart account

7+ hours later and sitll preparing order lol

 
Tried to order this in the afternoon, only to have the order canceled because Wal-Mart worried there was something unusual about the purchase. (Well, I hadn't bought anything from them online in about a year; maybe that was it).

My bank is incredibly cautious about unusual activity, and I didn't want to risk my account getting frozen over it, so I just gave up. Also, I've heard people were able to get Best Buy to price match, but they straight up told me in an online chat that they do NOT price match gift cards. I don't know how the people at Slickdeals convinced them otherwise.

people here did the samething. it just requires a rep who doesn't know or care

 
5 hours later and I'm still waiting...

I even had a fraud alert from my credit card company, but I cleared it... so I'm a little worried, but Walmart customer service said the order was still active...

 
Got an update here. After every order being instantly cancelled paying with card and paypal, I saw someone suggest buying a Walmart gift card and buying with that. Did that and my order didn't get cancelled right away, it's now "Preparing order", so fingers crossed here.

EDIT: And just got my code after about 15 minutes of waiting!

reordered two codes on a different walmart account and used paypal. got my code after 15 minutes. I was then able to cancel my original order from around 2:15PM

 
Order went through using debit cards. But the one using paypal still preparing order. It has been 5 hours.

Normally I agree but digital sales on occasion are pretty good so you could end up with that 70$ in 3-9$ titles.

 
Paypal order still waiting for 7+ hours lol. Might just try a 2nd one with debit

Edit: Made a 2nd order with debit, got it almost instantly. PayPal order still processing, I should probably just cancel it but kinda wanna see what happens lol but I also didn’t wanna spend $100 on Eshop credit but this deal is also fire

I got denied immediately with my credit card (Walmart saying it was suspicious not my bank,) now waiting to see if PayPal works. 

 
I ordered 2 in one order with my debit card and got both codes but it took a couple hours to receive them. Pretty sweet deal. Sucks for those that got theirs cancelled.
