Uf, gotta resist commenting on the 75 million "radicalized" cult Trump voters and their "radical" meme wallpapers.

Maybe its time for brunch huh :)

There aren’t 75 million radicalized cult Trump followers. We have to stop this talk where everyone who voted for Trump are in the flags and wallpapers crowd. There are 75 million people who voted Republican. A minority within that large group of people buy the flags and are in the cult.

Anyway, enjoy our fun podcast where we point out that something is really weird and not based upon any actual policy or politics!

Great chat as usual, thanks guys!

I'll give Bumblebee a try with my 6 year old, thanks for the recommendation. That is indeed impressive that Emeline saw the Iron Giant connection!

I recommend Donut County to play with the kids. It's short and mostly easy enough for them. My kid played through it 3 times last weekend, she only needed help with the final boss battle.

Wrapped up Fenyx Rising myself, and really enjoyed the game, although the dialogue is just grade school level bad. Random swearing that don’t go with the flow of the game at all, and flat jokes throughout. Zeus and Prometheus are alright, but outside of them, it’s just plain bad. Really fun game though.

Interested to know if any of you played Spiritfarer? It’s on Gamepass, and I don’t recall you guys talking about it. I just started it a few days ago, and am now hooked.

Great show, thanks!

I disagree and I only think you guys think this because you guys probably don't have many black friends. I'm not saying this to be insulting but within the black community its actually not weird to see someone with Obama merchandise even today. I got my hair cut this past week and was given a Obama 2021 calendar. I don't see any difference between someone having a trump wallpaper on their phone or any other trump merchandise and my parents who have a picture of Obama on their wall. I definitely wouldn't classify this as being in a cult or that they were radicalized. Some people like Trump in the same way other people like Obama. I think you guys(mainly Cheapy) were being way to judgmental and it was pretty ridiculous hearing Cheapy go: girl has trump wallpaper on her phone = she was radicalized by Facebook.

Also Cheapy, The Social Dilemma is a horrible documentary. I don't want to write an essay here explaining everything that's wrong with it but if you want to know why check out the video series Out of Frame on youtube. They do an excellent job explaining all the problems with that documentary.

Anyway I enjoyed the show and to keep this gaming related you guys should check out Huntdown. I don't believe you guys talked about it on the show when it released last year but I think its something Cheapy would really enjoy. Its a side scrolling shooter like contra with an 80s action movie style plot, I really enjoyed it.

Merchandise on the wall is not the same thing as a picture you see a hundred times a day on your phone. Having Trump propaganda in the place normal people have photos of their family or pets is indicative of a warped attachment to a political figure. Social media including Facebook has played a huge role in creating the QAnon cult which encouraged its followers to worship Trump, and to attempt to violently overthrow the government earlier this month. They also believe Obama’s friend and Vice President, Joe Biden, is a pedophile. There is no cult pushing people to worship Obama, or to try and kill elected officials on his behalf.

This doesn't make any sense. Why would it matter how many times you look at your phone screen compared to looking at a picture? I was using my dad as an example but there are people with wallpapers of Obama as well. A quick google search of "obama cellphone wallpaper" gives you thousands of results. I don't know who or what QAnon is nor do I care because they have nothing to do with what I said. People have wallpapers on their phone of tons of different things, past presidents, cartoon characters, video game characters, super models, actors, historic figures, etc and there is nothing weird about that nor does it have some kind of hidden meaning.

I’ll check out the game but I’m not interested in to hear what the Koch brothers think about the Social Dilemma.

So there is no Miss Midas in Fortnite, but instead there is some minor character called Snake Eyes instead...

Wombat, if you can't get Shipwreck to jump on board the Fortnite train with GI Joe characters, then nothing will work.

Hey Wombat, wondering about the status of your bite guard?  Did you get one from the dentist?  If not, the Oral-B Bite Guard worked for me, it's about $20 and easier to fit that the cheap bite guards online.

I know I usually give the CagCast a lot of shit, but this pod was a great listen. And anytime you rip on the Cult of Trump, you get bonus points!

Cheapy, you seem to be the one making it political. I think his point was that Social Dilemma is full of people talking gibberish. Since Shipwreck explained about options trading in this week’s episode think about the part where the supposed expert describes companies as “trading exclusively in human futures”. What does that even mean? Is someone buying information from Facebook to bet on what people are going to do at some point in the future? I don’t use social media, I don’t like the companies, but they don’t have some magical formula for making you into a robot that does what advertisers want. The bad side of it is mostly a side effect of getting you to use the product more, feeding you posts that fit your already existing biases (esp. political or other tribal groupings) not of the actual parts involving advertising. That and the anonymity of the internet encouraging people to extreme behavior.

I've been listening to the podcast for over a decade. These guys are great. I've been hoping they would leave politics out of the show, but I appreciate it is their choice to include it, and my choice to not listen if I don't like it. Just want to let you guys know I respect you and like you, but I am done with the show.

People who spend as much time playing video games as these guys do have as much nuanced and valid opinions on our country's plights as, well, people who spend as much time playing video games as these guys do. THAT is why they should stay in their lane. We are all deplorables in the state's eyes. Some, such as these guys just don't realize it, and think they are in the club. Well, George Carlin would tell you otherwise if he was still alive.

I wish you all well, sincerely. Bye.
