As CAG’s resident annoying vegan I want to correct a myth believed by many, including some older doctors. Tofu and other soy products do not have estrogen. Regarding the documentary, the majority of them are stretched out with no real need to. For example look at McMillions, there is no reason it needed to be even close to 6 episodes long. Its annoying

Phytoestrogens ARE estrogen, it’s just the kind that plants use rather than humans. In humans it has a pretty weak effect but it doesn’t block anything; I think you just got information from someone that doesn’t understand a complex topic.

Wombat talked about the Cecil Hotel documentary on the Cagcast weeks ago and we get a spoiler warning now?  Plus, Wombat's right...you can't spoil something that's been in the news. But what really needs to be addressed is how Cheapy pronounces documentary as "document Terry".  Document Terry is the person in the office in charge of the copy machine; a documentary is a movie/series that old people watch because they have too much free time.  Somebody please fix this.

The spoiling of the documentary that you were recommending people watch was mildly annoying, but what really bothered me was Wombat’s immediate double and triple downing of spoiling it multiple more times...even encouraging Shipwreck to jokingly do it. I’ve noticed lately that Wombat gets way overly defensive to the point of being aggressive about defending his behavior in situations like this. How hard is it to put yourself in someone else’s shoes for a second and consider that maybe not everyone knows the entire story, and Cheapy rightfully speaking up to try to stop it from being spoiled was not a personal attack? Everyone is entitled to their opinion, but that doesn’t mean that your opinion is automatically 100% correct.

Anyway, I still love the show and I’ve been listening for 14 years now, unbelievably 😂

Whether Shipwreck would like the handful of shows I mentioned wasn’t the point. The point was, they are objectively not cheap filler. The production values are as high as almost anything on TV. Just this month I have watched all of Halt and Catch Fire, and Manhunt Deadly Games on Netflix. Again, these are not cheap filler shows. Nor was Mad Men when I watched that on NetFlix last year.
