I saw this randomly yesterday when browsing Amazon, but Ratchet and Clank Rift Apart is 20% off if you have an Amex card and pay with it and have some points.

I preordered it for $55.99 yesterday and thought I'd pass it along.  I think I had like $7 in points I put towards it so the total out of pocket after tax was $52.

It appears to be on more than this too.  I preordered RE8 for $50 after taxes and am contemplating doing the same for Returnal but it comes out right before RE8 so I don't know if I wanna do that since I doubt I'll finish it by RE8 time.

You may need an Amex card already linked to Amazon to see that offer I'm not sure.  I also noticed that sometimes it wouldn't show up on the page after I purchased it and had to refresh sometimes to see it on there again.

Honestly I'd do the same for RE8 but the steelbook at BB is too tempting. Such a sucker for those things
 
I ended up getting a different promotion - mine is get $25 promotional credit if I add a debit card to my wallet.

Not sign up for a card or anything - literally just add one I already have to my account. Odd.

Try refreshing. I noticed sometimes I didn't see it all the time when going back to the listing page and would have to refresh a bit. It was almost like that screen space was fighting for the Amazon Rewards card and the Amex offer. I'd see one or the other every time.

You also may need to have an Amex card already linked to your Amazon account.

I wonder if this deal is dead as of yesterday?? I just tried to add my AMEX as default and have not seen the option for the discount. I tried using a web browser and the amazon app but nothing.

I still see it when I go to the link. If I click on the Amex link on the page it takes me to this page.

Also I rarely use my Amex and haven't used it on Amazon in like over a year. So it's not like it's my main card or anything on Amazon. I use a Visa for all of my purchases.

Thanks for the link. It does take me to sign up as it appears my AMEX account isn’t linked. I think I’m getting an error using my phones browser so I’ll try this later on my desktop. Appreciate the heads up.

I tried to add my AMEX's Reward account to Amazon using that link, but it says my card doesn't have a Membership Rewards account. This is so weird.

 
So when I go to my payments on Amazon, it has a link under my Amex card that says "Manage your shop with points account" and when I click on that, it takes me to this page.

Maybe try to give that link a go and see if there is anything you can do with it there?

My Amex has been linked with Amazon probably over a decade at this point so I can't remember at all what I did initially lol.

Then at the bottom of that page it has a carousel with cards you can use rewards with, and I found this Amex Rewards link from there as well.

I don't think that is it because I've preordered RE8 and R&C 2 days apart.

I used all the points I had available ($7) for R&C and then the next day when I saw the same 20% off of RE8 I did that and had $.01 available in points and used that towards RE8 lol.

And now I still have 1 cent in points left (guessing from that purchase of RE8) and it still lets me preorder Returnal if I want.

 
Destined to be hella cheap in the first yr it’s out and likely will be free on psn relatively soon after. Personally can wait on this game. Never really got into them. Mario is my platform series of choice.

It's odd, both are platformers, but I wouldn't imagine comparing R&C to Mario. R&C is a run and gun platformer compared to Mario being a more family friendly platformer. Both great series though.

 
Even if they were similar it's still incredibly bizarre to just play one game in a genre and disregard everything else. Stupid, really!

Anyway, I'm really looking forward to this but Sony can eat **** with those prices.

 
This type of credit card related promo can apply to all items sold/shipped by Amazon, not just for one specific game.

Discover and Chase sometimes have similar discount.
